Rock-WeddingIn Rock Wedding (Rock Kiss #4) by Nalini Singh, To say Sarah’s relationship with her ex-husband Abe is a mess would be a bold understatement. It’s not that she didn’t love him. No, the issue was his drug and alcohol abuse and how Abe left Sarah alone time after time while he was out with his band Schoolboy Choir or their many groupies. But now clean and sober, the rocker wants to prove he’s worthy of another chance. Sarah’s not sure, though, that she can try again if it means going through the pain she did before.

‘She’d never known it was possible to be lonely in a marriage until she’d married Abe, married the man she loved beyond life.’

Abe didn’t realize how badly he’d messed up his relationship with Sarah until it was too late. And he can’t blame her for filing for divorce, given the poor way he treated her when he was under the influence. Since getting himself straightened out at rehab and with the help of his band mates, Abe feels like the time has come to show Sarah his true feelings, as scary as that thought is. And once they start opening up, learning how much they have in common, he knows it’s now or never to redeem himself and sweep his woman off her feet.

“I was stone-cold sober the night I met you and I’m stone-cold sober now–and no woman, no woman, does to me what you do. I fucking love you. Always have, always will.”

Rock Wedding was an epic full length novel that not only had a second chance romance that will knock your socks off, but it also had multiple weddings to swoon over. I know!! Does Nalini Singh love her fans or what?

Reunion tropes are usually one of my favorites to read. But I’ll be honest, I didn’t want to like Abe. I mean I *really* didn’t want to like him at all after the way he treated Sarah when they were married. If you’ve read previous novels in this series then you’ll have an inkling as to what he was like, especially when he was abusing drugs and alcohol. But I have to say that Nalini Singh, with her incredibly emotional writing, managed to turn the tables and made me truly like Abe. I even ended up cheering him on by the end of this story. Not an easy feat considering the rocky start we had with him.

Sarah and Abe were quite a volatile couple. I thought it was interesting that they were both survivors of tragedies in their past but that they handled their grief and anger completely differently. It made it questionable, to me at least, whether they would be able to work things out together or if they were a toxic combination. But I loved how Nalini Singh wrote Abe and Sarah’s honest emotions into each scene. It wasn’t pretty sometimes and some of the things that were said were downright hurtful–especially by Abe, before getting clean. But it was raw and I appreciated the realistic manner in which the characters acted.

From what is mentioned at the end of this book, it sounds like this is the final installment in the series. However, the Rock Kiss gang will show up in a future contemporary romance series that includes some of the rugby guys we met in previous books. So of course with this being the ‘end’ (sort of) all of the couples we’ve met along the way, along with friends and family, appeared here quite a bit. I think fans will love getting to catch up with the other members of Schoolboy Choir and to get a chance to read about the amazing weddings that took place. I will warn readers to keep tissues handy. You’ll need it with so much romance in the air. *happy sigh*

Hanging out with the Rock Kiss guys and gals is always fun but Rock Wedding took it to a whole other level. From the tumultuous but heartfelt reunion between Abe and Sarah, the grand weddings, and yes, even a baby (although I won’t say whose baby… 😉 ) I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end this exciting series.

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh continues her Rock Kiss series with a hot, sweet, emotional contemporary romance about love and forgiveness…

After a lifetime of longing for a real family, Sarah Smith thought she’d finally found her home with rock star Abe Bellamy, even if she knew Abe didn’t love her the way she loved him. But their brief relationship, filled with tragedy and heartache, nearly destroyed her. Alone, emotions in turmoil, and already shaky self-esteem shattered, Sarah struggles to pick up the pieces in the wake of their divorce.

Abe knows he’s to blame for the end of his marriage. Caught in a web of painful memories, he pushed away the best thing in his life – the sexy, smart woman he adores – breaking them both in the process. Then fate throws him a second chance to get things right, to prove to Sarah that she means everything to him. Abe desperately wants that second chance at love…even if he knows he doesn’t deserve it.

But can he convince Sarah – now strong and independent without him – to risk her wounded heart one more time?

didn’t Nalini Singh do such a great job with this book? At first I was really nervous, especially with Abe. But man I should never ever doubt her ability to write a romance. She made these two seem normal and human and flawed—-and so wonderful together once they worked through their issues. Although Rock Hard is still my favorite of the series. But I did love seeing the whole gang together again—-so many fun moments here. It made me want to do a re read.

Yes! Abe had me doubting how it would work out and if I’d ever like him but leave it to Nalini to make me do a complete turnabout. LOL! It’s been such a great series but I agree that Rock Hard would be my favorite. The whole T-Rex vs Mouse thing just killed me. I still sigh dreamily thinking of their romance… 😉
