Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews. The ending of one story arc and beginning of another one done while the characters grew in one way or another. A confirmation of the love between not only the main couple, but others relationships between friends and family. Friends willing to risk their lives for others and a ton of action and adventure.

  2. Texas Book Lover

Light my Fire by G A Aiken gets my favorite paranormal read of the year. This series as a whole is amazing! It has everything a reader wants; great storylines, fantastic couples with great chemistry, LOL humor and believable emotion oh.

  3. Pennie M

I have moved away from the paranormals of late but still read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J, R Ward and her Fallen Angels. Recommend both series.

  4. Krysten M

I loved Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews! What a great start to a great new series; definitely can’t wait to read more! 🙂

  5. Christine Woinich

Not my usual genre, but I just finished reading Lara Adrian’s A Touch of Midnight. It was good and has me wanting to check out the rest of the series.

You asked: Your Best Paranormal Romance Pick of 2014? Tell us why.

I read the Paranormal Dating Agency(PDA) series by Milly Taiden. There are 4 books. The series had shifters, humor, fun, suspense, and HEAs ….all the things I love in paranormals! I recommend the series if for no other reason than to meet Mrs. Gerri Wilder. She plays the role of scatter-brain to perfection which is what she wants people to think. Great series!

Thanks for the opportunity to share.

I love paranormal romance, so this is a hard question. I think I was most impressed this year with Jocelynn Drake’s Angel’s Ink, The Asylum Tales. The world building is detailed and the storytelling is smooth, detailed and gives us the background story we need while staying in the present. Gage (the hero) is in love with fellow tattoo artist Trixie. Trouble follows Gage like a lost puppy. Gage a warlock, is on the run from the Warlock Council, and tries to stay below their radar. With the help of his closest friends, Bronx (a troll) and Trixie (a Elf in hiding), Gage tried to do the right thing, for all of them, even if it means keeping Trixie at arms length. If you haven’t read this book/series and you love paranormal, you’ll enjoy this stories.

  8. Kim R.

There were so many this year. From Shelly Laurenston’s Pride Series to Chloe ONeill’s Chicagoland Vampire series, to all of the indy authors too. I have to give Celie Kyle props for her wit and humor.

  9. Nicole Potter

I’m tied between Dark Skye by Kresley Cole, or Darkest Craving by Gena Showalter! Both have excellent writing, lovely characters, and the stories are AWESOME! (And I hope Torin’s book is just as good – I got it for Christmas! )

  10. conniefischer

I love romance novels but can honestly say that paranormal is not at the top of my reading favorites.

  11. Lori Meehan

All the Dark Protectors books by Rebecca Zanetti that came out this year.

  12. christytea

Darynda Jones’s Charley Davidson series and Jeaniene Frost’s Night Prince series were my favorite paranormal romances of 2014!!

  13. Kerry

love paranormal books, but can’t just pick one book for 2014. love them all usually and haven’t read one i haven’t liked yet.

  14. Janie McGaugh

I can’t really pick just one. My favorites were Kresley Cole’s Dark Skye, Ilona Andrews’ Magic Breaks, Patricia Briggs’ Night Broken, and Lara Adrian’s Crave the Night. These are all series I already love, and these particular books have great plots, along with fantastic writing.

  15. Trudy Dowling

My favorite paranormal romance of 2014 was Kim Harrison’s Witch With No Name. It was the end of a 13 book plus novellas series. A lot had happened. It could have ended in many different ways. I needed to know if there would finally be a Happily Ever After. And with so many series continuing it was noce to close the book on one.

  16. Cathy P

Some of the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. I loved the stories. Sookie could read minds and there were vampires and shifters and fairies in the books. Very interesting stories.

  17. Katina Fragakis

Sorry, but I haven’t read paranormal books this year. But I do have several on my TBR list.

  18. Inga

The paranormal book I enjoyed wasn’t released this year, but this is the year I read it. It was Fantasy Knights Book 1 by Marilyn Lee. It was a good story with characters that I wanted to know more as I read.

  19. Lori P

I’ve only read a few this year, but I have some on my TBR list. The few I read were by Lara Adrian and J.R. Ward. Neither disappoint 🙂

  20. frllarsson

Revenant was awesome, Larissa Ione, and Kresley Cole´s Dark Skye as well. Ilona Andrews is always great =) So many great reads, I can´t pick just one, and I know that I´ve forgotten many ..
Thanks for the giveaway & Happy Holidays!

  21. Sue C

Rafferty & Quinn series by Heather Graham, Lydsany Sands books, Jeanine Frost books. Too many to pick one

  22. doveknoll

Sandra Hill’s A Deadly Angels series. I love those Vangels. They are alpha, sweet, funny, and totally clueless about women even though they’ve been in existence for over a thousand years. Each book is entertaining and I can’t wait for the new one in the series. This giveaway is great and I hope I win.

  23. ladyvampire

My favorite paranormal romance series of 2014 is definitely Darynda Jones’ “Charley Davidson” series. It has a great storyline, lots of humor, sizzling romance and a bunch of the paranormal aspect I love.

  24. Cheryl Hastings

Witch With No Name by Kim Harrison. I love her Rachel Morgan series and while I’m sorry to see it end, I wanted to know HOW it ended!!

  25. Gretchen H

I don’t usually read paranormals. I do like time-travels, if that counts. Lynn Kurland is my favorite time-travel author.

  26. Tracy Marr

They didn’t all come out this year, but I read the series this year: Dark Protectors by Rebecca Zanetti

  27. Anita H.

Wulfe Untamed by Pamela Palmer was my absolute favorite. It’s the very last book of the Feral Warrior series and the suspense had been building up for the past few books previous to this one. I was so sad when I finished reading it because I didn’t want it to end.

  28. ndluebke

I’m not a fan of paranormal as it is known today with vampire, demons, warewolves and shifters and think they should be included with Sci Fi. What used to be paranormal was physics and a few other mind gifts. So No I do not have a favorite because if I can, I don’t read those.

  29. nikkiphilton

I really like Jennifer Ashley’s Shifters Unbound series and Thea Harrison’s Elder Races, so the ones that came out in ’14 were it for me.

  30. BookLady

The Witch With No Name by Kim Harrison. It was the final book in her Hollows series. A fantastic ending to a great serie!

  31. Melody Gonser

Lindsey Sands-Argeneau series, Lara Adrian -A Touch of Midnight.
Both authors are fantastic, able to draw me into the stories. Thank you

  32. erinf1

Definitely Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews. In fact… I’m going to start rereading it now 😉 thanks for sharing!

  33. Glenda

I realized I didn’t read any straight out paranormals this year. I’m going to have to make sure I remedy that this coming year.

  34. Jean White

I usually don’t read paranormal, but I won Burn for Me and it was a good book and well written. Still not what I would pick first to read.

  35. amydawn2537

Renegade Hunter by Lynsay Sands. He helps people and risks getting captured by people who things he’s guilty of a crime when he’s innocent.

  36. Ada

I didn’t read many paranormals but my top pick for 2014 is Robin Bielman’s Veiled Target. I enjoyed the intrigue and the story had some twists that I didn’t expect. I found it an enjoyable read.

  37. Jennifer Taylor

Conversion By: S.C. Stephens. Crimson Hall Ghost House By: Merry Brown

  38. Glenda S. Hefty

Do Janye Castle’s books count? I read her Hot Zone…I love her little dust bunnies! I have read all of her books under all three names and I think the series under Jayne Castle’s name would probably qualify. I also want to read the new Lestat book by Anne Rice. I have read all of the Sookie Stackhouse books but not in the past year. I’ve downloaded a number of free newer paranormals to try out some new authors in this genre when I’ve the time! I also in the past have read Laurell K. Hamiltion’s Anita Blake series until about book 18 where I finally gave up…won’t get into that here!

  39. Madison W F

Difficult question because I follow so many paranormal authors. I’ll say Richelle Mead because of the different series.

  40. Jen B

Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh. It’s the latest in a brilliant series, and is just as good as the 12 previous books. Events in this book have been building for most of the series, and it lived up to all of my expectations.

  41. Mary M.

Light My Fire by G. A. Aiken, the latest I have read by her and I love her characters and unique settings.

  42. Kai W.

Dark Prince by Michelle M. Pillow. I found that Michelle could tell the same story four different time from four character’s point of view. I have never read a series that did this.

  43. Joan V.

Angi Fox’s Beverly Hills Demon Slayer (Biker Witches series Book 6). I loved all of this series so I don’t miss one.
