    I would recommend The Firefly Jar by Laurie Beach. Her Crickley Creek series is really good. it has romance plus a whole lot more.

    Pride and Prejudice is my all-time favorite classic romance. I might pick something that had romance/mystery or romance/suspense for someone who liked mystery or suspense.

    Anything by Jane Porter, but there are really too many books to name that a person could read to enjoy romance.

    Something by Ali Hazelwood. My sister claims to hate romance but she has read and loved all of Ali’s books.

    One of my favorite reads this year was Soundless by Richelle Mead so I would recommend that one. I do agree also with Pride and Prejudice too as it is my favorite classic. Unfortunately, King Sumo may still be not working for me, but I will continue to try.
