    I hope to be a better me. I set reading goals on Goodreads for the sake of the app. I personally think reading should not be about how many books I read. If it’s about the number, I’ll just read to get it checked off my list. I want to focus more on understanding and/or enjoying what I read.

    A healthier New Year, of course, and yes I do keep track of every book on Goodreads and set a goal and usually surpass that goal early in the year (basically because of my love of audiobooks).

    I plan to “live” more. Quit putting off doing what I want to do. Wear that new sweater when I want. Make that recipe I’ve waiting to try. With my job I don’t do goals anymore. Took some of the stress out of reading.

    My life is too chaotic to set reading goals. I used to read at least 4 books a month. Recently, I have been lucky to read a book in two months. My goal for next year is to read more and hopefully reduce the factors that are causing the chaos.

    No reading goals this year. Instead I have a writing goal. Last year I resolved to write a romcom novel before the end of the year and I finished in October. This year I resolve to get it published and finish my Nanowrimo that was interrupted by my new job and the death of my father. If I finish early enough, maybe I can get both published by Christmas next year.
