BJ Daniels

B.J. Daniels wrote her first book after a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist and author of thirty-seven published short stories.
That first book, Odd Man Out, received a 4 ½-star review from Romantic Times magazine and went on to be nominated for Best Intrigue for that year.
Since then she was won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense and numerous nominations and awards for best book.
Daniels lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, and two springer spaniels, Spot and Jem. When she isn’t writing, she snowboards, camps, boats and plays tennis.
She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Thriller Writers, Kiss of Death and Romance Writers of America.

Maisey Yates

Maisey Yates started writing stories from the moment she first learned how to form words with a pen. But she never had any idea what to write, and most stories sat started, half formed and half finished, but never completed.
During her high school and college years, she spent a lot of time dreaming about holding a book in her hands that had her name emblazoned across the front, but she did a lot more dreaming than actual writing.
At her very first job she was fortunate enough to meet her very own tall, dark and handsome hero, who happened to be her boss, and she promptly married him and started a family. It wasn’t until she was pregnant with her second child that she found her very first Harlequin Presents book in a local thrift store. She’d never read a Harlequin romance before, and by the time she’d reached the happily ever after she had fallen in love. She devoured as many as she could get her hands on after that, and she knew that these were the books she wanted to write!
Soon after that she saw that Harlequin was running a competition to win an editor for a year. She decided that was her sign to get in gear and start writing again. So she wrote her chapter and synopsis and hit send with trembling hands. She didn’t get any feedback from the contest, but it was the boost she needed to get her first full manuscript finished and submitted to Harlequin Presents.
Nearly two years later, while pregnant with her third child, she received The Call from her editor, informing her they wanted to buy that manuscript. She was very glad that the good news didn’t send her promptly into labor!
She still can’t quite believe she’s blessed enough to see her name on not just any book, but her favorite books.
Maisey lives with her supportive, wonderful, diaper-changing husband and three small children across the street from her parents, and the home she grew up in, in the wilds of southern Oregon.
She enjoys the contrast of living in a place where you might wake up to find a bear on your back porch and then head into the home office to write stories that take place in exotic urban locales.

Susanna Carr

Susanna Carr is a national bestselling author of over thirty award-winning contemporary romances. Readers throughout the world find Susanna’s stories a delightful escape that has often helped them through difficult times. Reviewers describe her work as “fun”, “sexy” and “a must read”.
Her booklist is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble , Google Play, iBooks and Kobo.

When she isn’t writing or spending time with her family in the Pacific Northwest, Susanna enjoys reading romance and connecting with readers online. Find her on Facebook, GoodReads and Twitter.

Bronwyn Scott
Bronwyn Scott is a pen name for Nikki Poppen. Nikki lives in the Pacific Northwestern United States, where she is a communications instructor at a small college. She enjoys playing the piano and hanging out with her three children. She definitely does not enjoy cooking or laundry—she leaves that to her husband, who teaches early morning and late evening classes at the college so he can spend the day being a stay-at-home daddy.
Nikki remembers writing all her life. She started attending young-author conferences held by the school district when she was in fourth grade and is still proud of her first completed novel in sixth grade, a medieval adventure that her mom typed for her on a Smith-Corona electric typewriter! She has since moved on to RWA conferences and a computer. She loves history and research and is always looking forward to the next story. She also enjoys talking with other writers and readers about books they like and the writing process. She’d love to hear from you! Check out her Harlequin Mills and Boon links and her personal Web page.

Susan Wiggs

Susan Wiggs has won many awards for her work, including a RITA from Romance Writers of America. She has also published with a number of houses, including Avon, HarperCollins, Warner and MIRA Books.
In addition to being a militant romance writer, a feminist, a guilt-ridden mother and a perfect wife, Susan Wiggs grows mutant tomatoes, speaks French, and plays the cello. Her hobbies are reading, traveling the world and Fair Isle knitting. She lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, her daughter, and the world’s most ill-mannered Airedale. Although she has convinced her family that toiling away at a writing career makes her a candidate for martyrdom, she secretly believes it’s the second-most fun to be had.
Wiggs, a Harvard graduate, confesses that a book once saved her sanity. Trapped at Barcelona Airport during an airline strike, she vividly remembers savoring every lush, escapist word of a romance novel. Ever since, it has been her quest to write the sort of books people cling to in crowded airports, or whenever life gets too crazy.

Susan Andersen

Susan Andersen grew up in a house filled with testosterone…and things haven’t changed. Still in the minority in her own home, she’s surrounded by her high-school sweetheart, her son and all-male pets.
According to Andersen, who grew up in Seattle, having two older brothers was a mixed blessing. “When anybody messed with me, my brothers were always quick with an offer to beat them up. That was sorta nice, although I personally believe it had more to do with the fact that guys just like to fight than with any towering concern for my welfare. You might think that’s cynical, but guess who the target was if no one else was around and they were tired of fighting each other? I must’ve spent half my childhood locked in the bathroom, screaming, ‘Dad’s gonna get you when he gets home.’ I know, nobody likes a stoolie. But it was either that or have my block knocked off on a regular basis, and trust me, Daddy was the best deterrent going.”
Andersen started writing books later in life. “I wrote bits and pieces all my life, but I never really felt as if I had the life experience to string an entire book together until I turned 30,” she said. When her son was young, a friend suggested series romances to Andersen and from that point on, she was hooked. She never intended to be a writer. “I actually wanted to be a dental assistant. I went to college to learn the craft, only to discover that as employers, I didn’t like 99% of the dentists I worked for,” Andersen admits.
Given her early training in dealing with men, she was a natural at the dynamics and pitfalls of the male/female experience. Susan’s first novel, Shadow Dance, hit shelves in 1989. She reached bestseller lists with her book Baby, I’m Yours, which went on to be named one of Romance Writers of America’s Top 10 Favorite Books of 1998 and also won the Romantic Times magazine Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Contemporary Romance of 1998. Susan has gone on to have her books appear repeatedly on the New York Times extended list and be selected three years in a row as one of the 10 novels named Amazon.com Editor’s Choice in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Today she continues to write stories where the guy gets the girl, as long as he’s willing to bend a little.
While Hot & Bothered is her first novel for MIRA Books, Susan has published a total of 14 novels. Her fast-paced story lines, wry humor and edgy writing style have consistently placed her books on both the mass market charts and on bestseller lists including the New York Times extended, USA TODAY, Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com. She currently lives in the Seattle with her husband. Look for her online at www.susanandersen.com.

Sheila Roberts

Sheila Roberts is married and has three children. She lives on a lake in the Pacific Northwest. Her novels have appeared in Readers Digest Condensed books and have been published in several languages. Her holiday perennial, On Strike for Christmas, was made into a movie for the Lifetime Movie Network. When she’s not writing songs, hanging out with her girlfriends or trying to beat her husband at tennis, she can be found writing about those things dear to women’s hearts: family, friends, and chocolate.

Susan Mallery

New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery has entertained millions of readers with her witty and emotional stories about women and the relationships that move them. Publishers Weekly calls Susan’s prose “luscious and provocative,” and Booklist says, “Novels don’t get much better than Mallery’s expert blend of emotional nuance, humor and superb storytelling.” While Susan appreciates the critical praise, she is most honored by the enthusiastic readers who write to tell her that her books made them laugh, made them cry, and made the world a happier place to live. Susan lives in Seattle with her husband and her tiny but intrepid toy poodle. She’s there for the coffee, not the weather.

Lynda Aicher

I love to read. It’s a simple fact about me that has been true since I discovered the worlds of Judy Blume at the age of ten. This love of reading transferred to young romance (the early version of Young Adult when the stories weren’t plagued by vampires, werewolves, and death) which hooked me on the romance genre and the fulfillment that comes with a happy-ever-after ending.

Twenty-five years later, I’m still an avid reader of all types of romance. The diversity of writing in the market ensures that there is always something new to read. I’m still a sucker for the happy-ever-after because there are more than enough not-so-happy endings in the real world that I don’t need to read about them. I read a book for enjoyment and I want to feel good when the story ends.

I have the luxury of being a full-time writer, that is, a full-time writer around my duties as mom, wife, cleaner, cook, chauffeur, master scheduler, banker, cheerleader, volunteer, and tutor. Writing has to be a priority, or it would never happen.

I live in the Pacific Northwest which provides many months of rain-filled incentive to stay indoors and write. However, I’m a Midwesterner at heart. A perfect day has the snow falling outside, a fire warming the room, a football game on the television, a roast cooking in the oven, my family hanging out around me and a good book to read.

Lauren Dane

The story goes like this—a few years ago, Lauren Dane decided to quit her job and stay home with her brand-new second child. As a result, she had lots of conversations in a sing-song voice but no real outlet for adult thoughts and words. While on bed rest during her pregnancy with the tiny monster, Lauren had plenty of downtime, so her husband brought home a second-hand laptop and she decided to “give that writing thing a serious go.”
Lauren had no idea how fabulously wonderful it would feel to actually make a go of her writing and she’s thankful every day people actually want to read what she writes! She’s well aware of her good fortune and loves every moment of it—even when she has to edit and put Barbie’s dresses back on over and over again. She still hasn’t managed to figure out how to shut out the sound of the Backyardigans so she can write a love scene, though.

Karina Cooper

After writing happily ever afters for all of her friends in school, Karina Cooper eventually grew up (sort of), went to work in the real world (kind of), where she decided that making stuff up was way more fun (true!). She is the author of dark and sexy paranormal romances, steampunk adventures, crossover urban fantasy, and continues to write across multiple genres with mad glee. Her award winning steampunk series, The St. Croix Chronicles, has been nominated for multiple RT Reviewers’ Choice Awards.
One part glamour, one part dork and all imagination, Karina is also a gamer, an avid reader, a borderline hermit and an activist. She co-exists with a husband, a menagerie and a severe coffee habit. Visit her at www.karinacooper.com, or if you’re feeling sassy, www.rindaniels.com.

Diana Copland

Diana Copland began writing in the seventh grade, when she shamelessly combined elements of Jane Eyre and Dark Shadows to produce an overwrought Gothic tale that earned her an A- in creative writing, thanks entirely to the generosity of her teacher. She wrote for pure enjoyment for the next three decades before discovering LiveJournal and a wonderful group of supportive fanfiction writers, who after gifting her with a “Best New Author” Award encouraged her to try her hand at original gay fiction.
Born and raised in southern California, Diana moved to the pacific Northwest after losing a beloved spouse to AIDS in 1995. She lives in eastern Washington with four obnoxious cats and her ninety year old Dad, near her two wonderful adult children.
