A Doctor for Keeps by Lynne Marshall is the perfect small town medical romance. It is a feel good story which leaves you with warm and happy feelings in the end. Desi grew up with her mother who used to play in jazz clubs and nightclubs. She moves back to her grandmother’s home to discover more about her family and find out about her father. She is not looking for anything permanent in the small town but soon it begins to grow on her. She also does not expect the attraction she feels for her next door neighbor. Kent is a single father who likes Desi but is afraid to love again given his past experience. He is also cautious in not letting his son get hurt because of his personal relationships. It was a very sweet story about finding your family and learning to love again.
Overall, A Doctor for Keeps by Lynne Marshall is a well written romance. Family forms a central subject in the story and if you like the same then go for this.
