In A Game of Vows by Maisey Yates, Eduardo Vega is the last person Hannah expects to see on her wedding day. He blackmailed her into marrying him five years ago and now she is about to marry a much safer option. But moments before her second wedding Eduardo informs her that they are still not divorced and she is still his legal wife. He wants her back so that he AGOVcan to stage a reconciliation with his estranged wife as a cover to her helping him fix his company’s financial problems.

Eduardo Vega once had the world at his feet, with a trophy wife to match! Then a cruel accident left him with only fragments of memory—costing him everything. Now the time has come to track down his runaway wife and finally put the missing pieces of his puzzle back together…

A Game of Vows by Maisey Yates is a well written, emotional and intense second chance romance. Eduardo is a reformed man due to his cruel accident which affected his memory and has caused chronic problems to his brain. There is no magic solution for him and the author keeps his problems realistic. He is rebuilding his life after the accident and wants Hannah back to make the same easier. Hannah is a rich, strong and independent heroine whose past has taught her to take control of her own destiny. She has her share of secrets and emotional baggage from the past. It is not an easy romance and there are many problems to be solved before the characters get their HEA. The icy exterior around Hannah takes time to melt and in the beginning her icy facade might frustrate you but in the end it is all worth it.

On a side note: Zack, who is left at the altar by Hannah in the beginning of this book gets his own story in One Night in Paradise by Maisey Yates. The books are not interconnected in any way and can be easily read as a stand alones.

Overall, A Game of Vows by Maisey Yates is a well written, emotional and intense read.
