A Taste of Sin by Maggie Cox is a part of the Seven Sexy Sins series and can be easily read as a standalone. This story as you can guess from the title is about gluttony.
Charismatic Gene always gets what he wants, and what he wants now is Rose’s shop space for his new restaurant—and its current alluring owner in his bed! Securing the shop will be easy; Rose can’t deny the benefits of his business offer. But seducing this defiant beauty will be more of a challenge…and Rose stands to be his greatest acquisition yet!
This was a well written romance with an enjoyable story-line executed perfectly.Rose is a caring, feisty, independent and strong heroine who stands up for herself and sticks to what she believes in.I loved her and she was perfect for Gene who is charismatic, powerful, arrogant and oh so sexy. The emotion which drives him to be wealthy and make more money than anyone is how the sin ‘gluttony’ is integrated in the story. This was indeed a clever way to integrate the same. The main characters share an amazing chemistry which makes their story believable and passionate. The story moves in a smooth pace and it is easy to get hooked to Gene and Rose’s romance.
Overall,an enjoyable romance which is a wonderful addition to the series.
