A Taste of Sugar by Marina Adair: Four years ago, Charlotte married the love of her life. a-taste-of-sugar-marina-adairAnd then woke up to annulment papers and no explanation three weeks later. But now, Jace is back in Sugar, Georgia because their annulment didn’t go through, and it couldn’t be worse timing with Charlotte’s new Grow Clinic and her reputation among the Miss Peaches of her town on the line.

“She looked at his hand and back to his face. With a grim smile she said, ‘I’ll think about it,’ and strolled right past him and out of the shop, gifting him with a unique view. And he wasn’t just talking about the way she swished her perfect ass all the way across the garage until she disappeared through the bay door.
Jace had made sure he’d always been the one to do the walking. Watching it from the other direction stung like a bitch.”

Jace loves Charlotte with everything in him, but had to leave four years ago to make sure her dream came true in Atlanta, even though she ended up going back home anyways. Seeing her again, and feeling the same love, Jace isn’t so sure he can leave this time around.

Convincing Charlotte to give them the three weeks before he has to leave town, Jace has his mind set to make sure this time is forever, if only Charlotte can get past her need to be the perfect town darling.

A Taste of Sugar is darling, hot, and absolutely wonderful. I love both Charlotte and Jace, although both their issues definitely kept me stressed me out throughout the story. Especially Charlotte’s, though that could just be because I can relate.
Jace has that soft center in a hard shell any reader will adore in their hero, and the only one who gets fully through is, of course, Charlotte and it’s just so utterly charming how well they connect on every level.

There is definitely a lot going on, enough that I felt there wasn’t full development on all the plot lines which I would have liked, but at least there was no boring or slow part. It was go go go, and still, Adair kept Jace and Charlotte in the same scenes for enough of the story.

And whenever they were, hot hot hot! There was fantastic chemistry in A Taste of Sugar. Less involvement with friends and family kept the relationship focused on our hero and heroine, and it worked very well.

For any reader, especially those loving a small southern town, I recommend A Taste of Sugar by Marina Adair.

A blast from her past…

Charlotte Holden, Sugar’s favorite pediatrician, knows better than anyone that love only leads to heartbreak. Instead, she’s focused on creating the Grow Clinic, an outpatient center for children. All she has to do now is to host the best Founder’s Day Parade in the history of Sugar, Georgia, to win over a big-city donor. Easy as peach pie. Then sexy Jace McGraw blows back into town and utters those three words every woman dreads: we’re still married.

…leads to tantalizing trouble

Jace McGraw was making an offer on his dream business in Atlanta when he was told that his wife had some credit issues. Wait, his wife? The annulment went through years ago—or so he thought. He’d walked away only to keep his troublemaker reputation from ruining her dreams. But now that they have a second chance, Jace offers Charlotte a deal: he’ll grant a discreet divorce in exchange for 30 days and nights of marriage. Because this time he isn’t going to let her go without a fight.
