After Tonight by Annie Kelly: After her friends force Cyn to take a night out and let loose, Cyn meets the sexiest man she ever saw only to pass out and never get his number. She never considered she might meet Smith again only to have him appear in her classroom the next week as her new student.
Student teaching in a reform school, Cyn has only ever wanted to help her students and make a difference. But now, how can she help when her attraction to Smith refuses to fade and his refusal to let her go only ignites her further?
“You don’t really have to do this,” he says with a smile.
But there’s a challenge hidden behind those words, and he and I both know it. Jutting my chin out, I steel my nerves and yank my sweater up over my head. I don’t have to look at my bra because I can remember precisely which one I’m wearing –beige, satin, no padding in the cups. Couldn’t be more boring.
I turn to face Smith full on, and the infuriatingly sexy smile slips off his face. There’s no mistaking the heat flaring in his eyes.
“Color me surprised,” he says quietly.
After Tonight is a cute story, and definitely an interesting plot that just becomes better and better as the story goes on. I absolutely love Smith and all the man that he is, although it’s definitely an interesting journey getting to know what he is. But his fight for Cyn is one any romance reader adores.
Cyn did get on my nerves at times. Although understandable, she was just a bit too confused and off and on for me to really enjoy being in her head the entire story. Even so, she has a good heart and a sweet father that I hope I see more of as the series continues.
Short and cute, I recommend After Tonight if you want hard circumstances, a hot hero, and a heroine with a heart of gold.

She may be the teacher…
All Hyacinth “Cyn” Hendricks ever wanted to do was make a difference in the world. But when she joins the faculty of a Baltimore reform school, she discovers that she’s bitten off more than she can chew. Because the last thing she expects when she meets her newest student is to see the guy she met—and made out with—at a bar last week.
But he’s the one giving her a lesson…
To Cyn, Smith Asher is an enigma. The 20-year old doesn’t look like a high schooler and he certainly didn’t act like one the other night. Despite the smoldering chemistry between them, she knows she has to squash this dangerous infatuation before it gets them both in serious trouble. But her desire for Smith—and his lust for her—quickly grows too hot to ignore. And Cyn soon learns that there is one thing worse than teaching someone you’ve seen nearly naked…
Teaching someone you want to see nearly naked again.
