Bad Influence by Stefanie London Annie is complicated. She just set out to help all the smart, competent, beautiful women in New York to find better dates when she created the Bad Bachelor platform and app. She’s smart, driven, and devoted to family and friends. She’s still heartbroken after the end of her relationship with Joseph from three years ago and can’t bring herself to really date again.

Joseph is back in NYC and about to become the youngest CIO in the banking industry. He’s happy to be home after three years as an ex-pat in Singapore and the end of his last relationship. He’s smart, sexy, loyal, and is drawn to all things IT.

After three years away, Joseph knows that he needs to see Annie again. She’s never been far from his mind or his heart despite the bitter end to their relationship. Their first meeting again doesn’t exactly go well, but does give him a slight in when he needs it. Annie is constantly threatened as the creator of Bad Bachelor, but she’s maintained her anonymity. When a new threat emerges, Annie’s only choice is her all too sexy ex.

“I know things ended…badly.”
She rolled her eyes. “You’re a regular freaking Sherlock, aren’t you?”
“But that doesn’t erase what we shared,” he finished. “If you ask for my help, I will always provide it.”

Inviting Joseph into her life again brings back the memories, feelings, and chemistry neither can escape. He’s actually a really good man and quite protective when it comes to the one woman he can’t forget. Renewing their relationship is the last thing that either of them need, but it’s not easy to walk away after crossing that line again. The past is back to haunt them and they have to decide if this time they can survive as a couple.

“There’s that bad influence again.” He wrapped a hand around her wrist. “There’s no going back from this. You know that, right?”
“There’s no going forward from it either.” She stepped forward, allowing him to pull her closer. “It is what it is. Nothing yesterday. Nothing tomorrow. Just now.”

Bad Influence is intriguing, entertaining, sexy, and finally answers so many questions in this series. Stephanie London provided surprises, heat, humor, and second chances. Ms. London continued to develop a diverse and complex cast of characters. Bad Influence can be read as a standalone in the Bad Bachelors series. Fans of Kelly Elliott and Jennifer Blackwood will enjoy Bad Influence.

He’s the bad bachelor who inspired it all…
Annie Maxwell had her whole life figured out…until her fiance left her when his career took off. If that wasn’t bad enough, every society blog posted pictures of him escorting a woman wearing her engagement ring. To help the women of New York avoid guys like her ex, Annie created the Bad Bachelors app. But try as she might, Annie just can’t forget him…

For bank executive Joe Preston, his greatest mistake was leaving the love of his life when she needed him most. Now, all he wants is to make things right–and she won’t have him. But when Annie’s safety is threatened by a hacker determined to bring down her app, Joe is the only one she can turn to. He’ll have to lay himself on the line to prove to Annie that he’s a changed man. But will their hard-won bond survive the revelation that Annie is the one pulling the strings behind Bad Bachelors?
