REVIEW: Bodyguard Most Wanted by Katherine Garbera

In Bodyguard Most Wanted by Katherine Garbera, Price Security is hired to protect Nicholas DeVere. Luna Urban, one of the bodyguards with Price Security, finds herself drawn to the handsome billionaire, as he is to her. But Nicholas is tired of everyone he loves dying in mysterious ways, and decides that he actually needs to protect Luna by keeping her at arm’s length.

As the investigation to find the culprit goes on, and the threats to Nicholas continue to escalate, the pair find themselves giving into their attraction. Luna worries that her feelings are compromising her abilities to do her job, while Nicholas worries that whoever is after him will target Luna and her associates. Will they be able to get to the bottom of the mystery in time before one more person Nicholas cares about loses their life?

This is the first book in the Price Security series, and what a start it was. I really enjoyed the characters and how multi-layered they are. Nicholas comes across as a billionaire who is used to getting his way, but there’s so much more to him than that. The same with Luna, who comes across as a tough woman, but has a sensitive side that she hides to protect herself.

While the book is about their romance, there’s also a good bit of action as the team struggles to figure out who’s behind the attacks on Nicholas. The author does a really good job of balancing the two different aspects of the story and blends them together well.

Readers are introduced to the other members of Price Security, and it was great to see how well they work together and support each other. There were some secondary events in the book that were a little unclear (such as Van Price’s exact connection to Nicholas’ previous body guard) or unresolved (such as Nicholas’ assistant’s potential feelings for him and one of the other bodyguards), but those didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

Bodyguard Most Wanted checks all the boxes for a good romantic suspense: well-written characters, an intriguing storyline, and a good blend of suspense and romance. It’s a book that fans of the genre will surely enjoy.
