Caribbean Crush by R.S. Grey All Casey has ever wanted is to be a journalist, however to say that she is struggling to get her big break would be putting it mildly. The furthest her journalistic career has gotten is being a lowly fact checker for a travel magazine, however when the opportunity to step out of her little fact checker cubby comes up, Casey runs with it… even if it means she might have stretched the truth of how well she actually knows recluse billionaire Philip Woodmont. Well this is how she finds herself aboard the maiden voyage of the first eco-friendly cruise liner Aurelia, seeing as this is a media sneak preview cruise it shouldn’t be to hard to get some one on one time with Philip, well for anyone else on board this would be pretty simple, but for our girl Casey this is going to be a bit harder seeing as the last time she saw Phillip they left things on a sour note. However it would seem that time does not heal all wounds and the grudge that Phillip holds against Casey as kids is still very much alive and well, seeing as he is making it next to impossible for her to get a word in with him regardless of how hard she tries…
I loved this book!!! Caribbean Crush was grey at her very best, this book was cute, funny, easy to get lost in and loaded with cute hilarious moments! While the book did start of a bit on the slower side, things picked up pretty quickly and I found myself easily invested in seeing if Casey and Phillip could work out their past and the clear tension between them.
Casey was such an easy to love leading lady, she was all over the place but in away that was enduring and relatable. I really liked getting to follow her as she tired to achieve her dreams, while also dealing with the loss of her only remaining family member. While her living by the day attitude might have seemed a bit reckless but it made her truly unique and so fun to get to follow. I will say that I really liked getting to see her finally standing up to her boss and realising her own self worth, this was such a huge moment for her and I loved that she threw caution to the wind and did this for herself after being strung along for so long. I also really loved getting to see her relationship with Phillip unfold, most of all I loved the fact that she was the one to make the first move, this was refreshing and only made me like her character all the more. Where Casey was all messy live by the day, our hero Phillip was all buttoned up and methodical. These two could not have been more different but boy were they just prefect for each other! I just loved getting to see this orderly guy realising his only true happiness comes from being with a whirlwind of a girl like Casey.
The chemistry between Casey and Phillip was perfection, this book had all the classic hallmarks of a great Grey book, incredible banter, sassy remarks, steamy stolen moments and a nice slow burn love story that will melt your heart. While these two both harboured regrets from their past, it was impossible to deny the attraction that bounced between them now. The back and forth banter and tension created an incredible build up for some insanely steamy stolen moments. I just loved that even though they wanted to keep things casual and simple, one single night together was just not enough for either of them, truly they were one of my favourite couples to follow.
The supporting characters in this book were really great and I loved the extra element that they each added. I will say that I was not a huge fan of Casey’s boss and the way she mistreated her and sorted of just strung her along in the hopes of advancing her career. Now one character that I did really love was blogger Sienna. I just adored the instant friendship that she formed with Casey and that in the end she was the one to help Casey realise that she is worth so much more. I really loved her little gesture and that she was the one to help get Casey going and finding a new passion. Aside from this I loved their cute and easy friendship and getting to see them get up to mischief while on board the ship. I will say I also really liked Tyson and the role that he played in helping push Casey and Phillip together, also he was pretty hilarious.
All in all Caribbean Crush was one of the best books that I have read by Grey in a long time, this book reminded me of what I had first liked about her writing style and how easy they were to just get lost in. If you are looking for a cute, sunny, summer read with loads of banter, romance and some laughs then I would definitely recommend reading Caribbean Crush!

Casey Hughes is a struggling travel journalist desperate for a big break when she lands the assignment of a hop on board Aurelia for its maiden voyage through paradise. While she’ll bask in the luxury cruise ship’s fine dining and complimentary spa treatments, her real mission is to snag an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont.
Casey and the elusive shipping heir have history. Once, they were nothing short of brutal enemies. Though the former brace-faced teen is now a suited-up CEO with devastating good looks, he makes it clear to Casey that he has no interest in forgetting their past.
The volatile grudge between them is as explosive as ever. More than once Casey is tempted to toss Phillip overboard, but for her work, she’ll have to swallow her pride. If it’s an apology he’s after, she’ll serve it up on a silver platter. If he wants her to walk the plank, she’ll salute with an aye, aye, Captain.
Casey can’t let him provoke her. She needs this interview. So if Phillip wants to play dirty, Casey will just have to play dirtier.
