Christmas at Evergreen Inn (Jewell Cove #4) by Donna Alward: In this sweet little Christmas Novella we get to revisit the quiet little town of Jewell Cove. I have read the other books in this series and this little novella stands quite will on it’s own. This is the wonderful Christmas story of Todd and Lainey.
Todd Ricker is a police officer in the small town of Jewell Cove. When an unexpected Nor’easter hits and he saves a motorist trapped in his car, he takes him to the only place in town that might have room, the Evergreen Inn. He knew that they would be welcomed, but he never expected that the white hot shot of attraction that had been building for years would overflow when he lays eyes on Lainey Price.
Lainey Price was left a year ago when her fiance broke their engagement 5 days before Christmas. For the past year Lainey has been trying to convince everyone that she is fine, all the while wondering what it is about her that she was unable to keep her relationship together. After that, she has lost her Christmas Cheer. After spending a cozy evening snowed in with Todd Ricker, Lainey is beginning to wonder if the crush she had on him in High School could really be more.
With Christmas right around the corner, it will be up to Todd to remind Lainey that miracles really do happen during the most magical time of year, and if they are lucky, they might just find a Christmas love that will make the season bright.
I loved the interaction between Todd and Lainey. They have been friends for years, each harboring a secret crush on each other. They truly cared for one another. Todd had to help Lainey believe that she could trust again, that it was ok to love and be loved. I truly enjoyed this sweet little Christmas Novella and was happy to revisit the happening around Jewell Cove.

Welcome back to Jewell Cove, where this holiday season, there happens to be no room at the inn…
When a December Nor’easter roars up the eastern seaboard, Jewell Cove cop Todd Ricker spends his day off being a Good Samaritan to stranded holiday travelers. But when the roads close and Todd can’t make his way home, he discovers that the Evergreen Inn is full up. Until another Good Samaritan opens her doors and offers him a place to stay…
Lainey Price is not looking forward to Christmas, but just because she’s not filled with the holiday spirit doesn’t mean she’s going to turn Todd out into the stormy night. Even if it means offering the handsome police officer the couch in her tiny cottage. But when the weather takes a turn for the worse, the two are snowed in for a wintry evening by the fire. With Christmas only a few days away, can Todd convince Lainey to open her heart to the season…and love?
