Claimed by the Sheikh by Rachael Thomas is a well written second chance romance which had a good story-line. Princess Amber’s arranged marriage to Prince Kazim Al-Amed of Barazbin was a dream come truefor her but then a furious Kazim banished Amber from his kingdom and his life.
Now, with his country in turmoil, Kazim must prove his ability to rule and provide an heir for his people. But to do so he’ll need to track down his princess.
Claimed by the Sheikh started on a good note and though I enjoyed myself overall, I wished some things about the story would have been different.
Kazim for example is an alpha hero with a cruel streak. He was not my type of hero personally and to top it off, he did not grovel even once when obviously he very much needed to. If you like over alpha hero then you may like him. Amber is a sweet virginal heroine who I liked but I would have liked to see a little resistance or conflict in respect to Kazim’s demand.
The romance was hot and passionate and had some very well written scenes. I did not care for the characters much and therefore I wasn’t as invested in their HEA as I would have liked to be.
Overall, Claimed by the Sheikh by Rachael Thomas is a well written romance but as compared to the other presents this month, it is slightly off the mark. I enjoyed myself because of the story-line but the characters failed to impress me personally.
