Craving His Best Friend’s Ex by Katherine Garbera: Twelve years of being so close and yet so far, then it all falls into your lap with only one little problem… the past twelve years.

Here’s the problem for Crissanne Moss she was pretty much alone in the world. She had the boyfriend she had made in college and the friends that they had made together, but that was it. There was no family and no friends that were truly “her’s” so when she and her boyfriend break up where can she really go? The only place she can think of… her boyfriend’s best friend who she might just like a little more than she should.

Ethan Caruthers did not poach. One of the rules he knew was to NEVER go after your best friend’s girl even if he had been crushing on her since before they started dating. Friendships are/were just too important, and there are some rules you just don’t break. So what happens when the girl (your best friend’s now ex) shows up on your doorstep? A whole lot of questions and not a lot of answers.

Through a series of unfortunately and crazy events Ethan and Crissanne are tested more than most and its with these tests they will have to realize if they are stronger together or apart.

This is part of Ms. Garbera’s Caruthers family series though it can be read as a stand alone with its only HEA. While it is not this readers’ favorite in the series it is a wonderful example of how an author can take a very serious and depressing event and turn it into a magical example of love not just conquering all but being a lifeline and showing people that no matter the circumstances and with a little help from your friends anything is possible. Her descriptions help to create lives, feelings and balance from these characters allowing them to jump off the pages and into your heart. This is another wonderful read from a great author.
