Dare to Love Me by Rosa Lucas: World renowned surgeon, complete perfectionist and comes from old English money, Edward Cavendish would be any girls dream guy if only he wasn’t so up tight and constantly so moody. So having the walking embodiment of chaos rumple his very orderly and pristine life, is well less than ideal, but hey maybe Daisy is just the person that he needs to breath new life into the stiff Savile Row wearing suit. As his little sisters best friend and the maids daughter, Daisy has always been present in Edwards life, just not to this extend! With Sophia’s wedding fast approaching and everyone running about, Edward and Daisy find themselves in a bit of a unconventional position… now with all eyes on the two of them, Daisy and Edward need to figure out how to navigate the family disapproval, past heartaches, and their own opposing personalities, while trying to make sense of these strange feelings brewing between the two of them…

Dare To Love Me was the perfect slow burn, opposites attract British romcom. I loved every single moment of this banter filled, sassy cute romance that was filled with mishaps, cringey cute moments and one love story that defied the odds. I can not tell you how many times I found myself cracking up and giggling as I followed Daisy and Edward try to navigate life with each other and not completely fall on their faces, this book was just romcom perfection! Rosa does such a brilliant job in crafting a story that combines the light heartedness of a romcom with some incredibly loveable characters that just feel so real.

I absolutely adored Daisy! She was this wild, messy, free spirit that marched to her own beat. I loved the fact that she chose not to conform to the norms and instead embrace being her chaotic self. While she did come across as this witty, bubble of chaos Daisy faced a lot of challenges in finding her place and I found this part of her character very relatable. I loved the fact that she always had good intentions but her actions didn’t always pan out the way she hopes, this only made her more loveable in her own quirky messy way. Now for our hero, well Edward was just what you would imagine a stuck up aristocratic Brit to be, all proper and polished, with no sense of humour. Though this might have been out hero to an extent, but gosh was there so much more to this guy. We get to see him really struggle with allowing someone new into his heart after the death of this wife, especially when the woman stomping her way into his heart is the polar opposite to himself. I really enjoyed getting to see Daisy soften Edward and allow him to be a more carefree version of himself.

I just ate up the chemistry between these two! While they could not be more different, clashing at every turn, this really only made them more perfect together. I loved the way they brought out different aspects in each others personalities. The forced proximity dynamic between these two just worked. I really enjoyed getting to see Daisy’s vibrant honesty and warmth challenge Edward’s emotional walls, while his steady presence helps her recognise her own strength and value. We get to see their initial reactions of annoyance grow into understanding and care and this results in a love that is ready to challenge anything.

I loved every single moment of reading Daisy and Edward’s beautifully messy journey from friction to affection, this messy but heart warming slow burn, opposites attract was just the perfect combination of sassy banter, heart felt moments and one down right cute love story. Dare To Love Me is a definite must read for all billionaire romcom fans!

Edward Cavendish is the embodiment of British elite—composed, controlled, and permanently unimpressed.
Born into old money and even older expectations, he carries the weight of generations of stiff-upper-lip tradition and emotional repression.

A world-renowned surgeon.
A ruthless perfectionist.
A man who does not tolerate chaos.

Which is unfortunate.
Because I am chaos.

He grew up in a sprawling 120-room manor with chandeliers in every hallway and bidets in every bathroom.
I grew up in the staff quarters, peeking through the hedges at his world.

He has every reason to frown disapprovingly at me. And trust me—he does. A lot.
I’m his little sister’s best friend—the bad influence.
I had a disastrous fling with his younger brother.
His ice-queen mother loathes me.
My mum scrubs her floors.
I sell gardening tools on a late-night shopping channel… in a pleated miniskirt, no less.
We’re opposites in every way that matters.
He’s Savile Row; I’m thrift-store chic.
He’s vintage champagne; I’m corner-shop wine in a can. And honestly? I’m not even mad about it.

And now, thanks to an unfortunate turn of events, the most intimidating man in Britain has caught me in his bed.
Uninvited.
In a situation that’s… let’s call it compromising.

This isn’t just a disaster.
This is the disaster.
