REVIEW: Defying the Billionaire’s Command by Michelle Conder

In Defying the Billionaire’s Command by Michelle Conder, Hardened cynic Dare James is furious. Some woman has gotten her claws into his grandfather and the news is surely going to upset his mother. He returns in a blaze of fury to the family estate to lay down the law…only to find himself attracted to the woman he should be evicting.

Carly Evans is horrified—she’s his grandfather’s doctor, not a gold digger! She can’t wait to wipe the smug smile from Dare’s frustratingly handsome face. Only before she knows it, Carly is caught in an inescapable web of attraction…and suddenly defying the billionaire’s command is the last thing she wants to do!

Defying the Billionaire’s Command by Michelle Conder was a well written romance on the misunderstanding trope set in English countryside. Carly and Dare are both not looking for any kind of romance or relationship. They both have their own well justified reasons for that. Dare is a ruthless billionaire who does not believe in love because of his parent’s relationship. The only person who means everything to him till he meets Carly is his mother. It was really sweet the way he treated his mother and the way he tried to protect her. Carly has been through a lot recently and I thought she was a really strong character throughout the story.

The story is good paced, especially towards the end but the middle part of the story was not that engaging and my attention did waiver off at some parts.

Overall,Defying the Billionaire’s Command by Michelle Conder is an enjoyable romance with great realistic characters and is recommended for all the author’s fans.
