Desert King’s Surprise Love-Child by Cathy Williams was and enjoyable and solid read.

Shocked to find her new boss is the father of her child, Georgie knows she needs to tell him about their daughter but she’s shell shocked that the hotel worker she fell in love with is actually Crown Prince Abbas. Suggesting their only option is marriage, Abe goes about quietly trying to win back Georgie and securing a future for his daughter.

I really liked quite a lot about this story. I believed in Abe and Georgie’s history and bought into their memories. I really liked the description of Abe’s country when they landed and I really liked their re-introduction. Both are really enjoyable characters although I struggled with Georgie taking so long to let go of her feelings of Abe leaving her the first time. I thought the author did a great explanation. I thought the abundance of Abe’s riches were described well I really liked how it all came together.

Recommended for any who want a love story with slow build layered with simmering memories and descriptive writing of lands far away, this would a great read.
