Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey: Having his car break down and his phone dying while in the middle of no where, is quite possibly the most inconvenient thing that could have happened to pro hockey player Sig Gauthier. Meeting the crazy cute harp player Chloe Clifford at the posh country club that he stops at to ask for help, well that could have easily been the silver lining to his shitty day. Sig finds himself instantly smitten with the crazy carefree Chloe, with sparks flying the two share a memorable evening together, ending with a movie worthy kiss and the promise to see each other again soon… not realising that their next meeting would be a bit more on the awkward side seeing as Sig’s father is getting married to Chloe’s mother… Well isn’t that just Sigs luck, finds his dream girl only for her to become his stepsister.

With this new development they both agree that nothing more can come of their connection, however things get a bit more complicated when Sig agrees to help show Chloe around Boston. Soon the two find themselves stuck between wanting to keep things platonic but also unable to deny the insane chemistry that they share…

I love reading Tessa Bailey’s books, so when I saw that she had a new sports romance I was eager to get my hands on a copy and let me just tell you this book did not disappoint! Now I will say I did have a few reservations about the step sibling trope in this book, however on reading it is super clear there is nothing taboo going on in this book, so fear not my fellow romance fans. We do get a bit of forbidden love and loads of family drama to keep us entertained. Dream Girl Drama was the perfect combination of steamy angsty goodness, sweet stolen moments and more than a few giggles.

“His entire life, he’d told himself you don’t need it, That he didn’t require nice things. But Chloe . . . she was the first nice thing he couldn’t live without.”

Sig was such a sweet hero. He fell hard and he fell fast, this guy had no chance when it came to saying no to Chloe, he was a total sucker. I loved how supportive he was of Chloe and that he was always there to encourage her to try new things and step out of her comfort zone. He just wanted to give her the best and protect her. Truly Sig was a sweetheart, totally gone, head over heels for his girl. While they could not have come from more different backgrounds, with Sig coming form nothing to working for everything that he now has, and Chloe practically being a silver spoon princess, they still made the most perfect couple. Now for our girl Chloe, well she was a bit of a ditz at first, completely sheltered and living in her own little bubble, but what I liked about her was the fact that she wanted to branch out and really live wild and free. I loved getting to see Chloe take on Boston and really learning to stand on her own, well with Sig ready to break her fall if need be. I really liked her crazy, wild and easygoing attitude and that she always looked for the best in a situation.

“Chloe, I would sell my fucking soul for you and smile while I signed on the dotted line.”

The chemistry between Sig and Chloe was just perfection. This was definitely and insta love kind of book and it only got better as the story progressed. I just adored the amount of adoration that Sig had for Chloe, there wasn’t a thing that he wouldn’t do for his girl. I was totally on board with all the forbidden angsty tension between these two, while they knew that they should stay away from each other, staying away proved to be impossible. There was an almost magnetic pull between them and I was there for every single steamy moment!

If you have been enjoying the Big Shots series so far, then you are definitely going to love this book! Dream Girl Drama is the perfect insta love, angsty, forbidden, sports romance that would be any romance lovers dream, definitely a must read!
