In Expecting a Royal Scandal by Caitlin Crews, royal scoundrel Felipe Cairo is the least likely king in Europe and avoids the crown with a passion! To uphold his reckless image and avoid the shackles of duty, Cairo must choose a most inappropriate wife…
Media sensation Brittany Hollis has a reputation outrageous enough to rival Cairo’s. Yet with each scorching kiss, she reveals more of her secrets than she’s ever shown the world.
But there’s a twist in their tabloid fairy tale that shocks them both: Brittany might not be queen material, but she’s carrying a royal heir!
Expecting a Royal Scandal by Caitlin Crews was a well written marriage of convenience romance which hooked me from the very first page. I loved the flow of the story and the beautiful ending.
Brittany and Cairo are both playing a role to hide their real selves but all forms of pretense fall away and secrets are revealed as they become more closer to each other. Brittany won my heart because she was brave, kind and strong. She was unapologetic about her past, fierce in her feelings for Cairo and I especially loved the way she made Cairo take some tough decisions towards the end. Cairo too was an amazing hero and was similar to Brittany in many ways. He was smart, sexy, generous and he too looked beyond the surface.
The chemistry was sizzling hot with some really good scenes and lively dialogues. Overall, I loved every minute of this one and would recommend it to all Harlequin lovers!
