In Fall into Temptation by Lucy Score, When Gianna “Gia” Decker moves into Beckett Pierce’s guesthouse, she quickly learns a few things. First, her landlord is gorgeous. And not looking for a serious relationship which is fine because neither is she. Second, the residents of Blue Moon Bend are nosy. Mostly in a good way. And they seem intent on matchmaking Gia and Beckett immediately. But as a single mom who just opened up her own yoga studio in town, she has much more important things to do and worry about than if her landlord finds her attractive. Then he proves to be way more trustworthy than her selfish ex-husband when he lends a hand with her kids and helps in a few other situations. But when Gia and Beckett finally give in to their chemistry, what starts off as casual turns into something more than she ever imagined. She’s just not sure if the risk of getting her heart broken again is worth it.

‘She was a package deal. And she needed Beckett to be okay with that.’

Beckett has a law practice and his duties as mayor of Blue Moon–plus a new business endeavor with his two brothers on the family farm–to keep him constantly busy. He was hoping renting out his guesthouse would be an easy way to add some income and help out a young family who needed a safe, cozy place to stay. Beckett wasn’t expecting to fall head over feet for his tenant, Gia. Or to adore her, well, adorable kids so much. Soon he’s thinking of nothing but her, all day every day. And as a guy whose last relationship had red flags he totally missed about the, ahem, clinginess and mental stability of said girlfriend, he’s a little wary of getting serious with someone again. But Beckett can soon see a future with Gia, Evan, and Aurora in it just as clear as day. If he can keep from messing things up when it gets complicated, he might have a shot at having them in his life for good.

“You matter to me, Beckett. And this sneaking around feels like…it feels like it diminishes what you make me feel.” She shook her head. “I need to think.”
“You matter to me too, Gianna.” So much more than he ever anticipated. There was no planning for something as unexpected as Gianna Decker.

Lucy Score never fails to charm and entertain. And FALL INTO TEMPTATION, the second book in her Blue Moon series, was awash with nosy townspeople, family drama, and a sizzling romance between the mayor and a single mom that was as heartwarming as it was delicious.

“This whole ‘get each other out of our systems’ thing doesn’t seem to be working too well so far,” Gia said, threading her fingers through his hair.
“I guess we’ll just have to keep trying,” he said before bringing his mouth to hers.

Lucy Score creates some of the most well-rounded, likable characters in romance today. Everyone in FALL INTO TEMPTATION (a reissued book) fit that description and had me wishing they were real so I could spend a weekend (or month or two) with them to watch all their antics up close. Our main characters, Beckett and Gia, themselves were wonderful. And wonderful together. Their attraction simmered right from their first meeting, and it never let up, building and growing until they basically had no choice but to give in to it. Of course, things couldn’t stay casual–or discreet–for long. And you just knew the residents of Blue Moon would keep pushing them together until they made it official as a couple.

Aside from the awesomeness that was Gia and Beckett, her two kids, Evan and Aurora, stole the show. Any scene Score created with either or both of them in it ended up being hysterical and oh so genuine. From Rora’s nickname for Beckett and her patented sad, pouty face destroying him to Evan’s snark and surprising wit, I had a blast reading about them. What I also loved, though, was how the locals–including Beckett’s family–pulled Gia and her kids into the fold, no questions asked. It gave the kids room to grow, feel safe, and figure out their place in the world, and it gave Gia and Beckett some time to explore a relationship. Things did get complicated toward the last quarter of the book, but in true Lucy Score fashion, the town as well as everyone around Beckett and Gia paved the way for a happy resolution. And oh, what a glorious ending it was. *sigh*

QOTD: Gia was an amazing yoga teacher. Have you ever practiced yoga yourself at home or in a studio?

Beckett Pierce is the most eligible bachelor in the nosiest small town in upstate New York. But after his last girlfriend handcuffed herself to his porch and set his welcome mat on fire, he’s not looking for any more romance.

Even if it lands right in his backyard and has miles of red hair.

Gianna Decker has her hands full–no, overflowing–with problems. With two kids, a useless ex, and a brand-new yoga studio, the last thing on her mind is finding a man who’ll cause her more problems.

Dating her broody landlord? Yeah, that would be a problem. Dating the sexy mayor of the town she just moved to? Definitely a problem. Dating the “favorite” son of her father’s new lady friend? It seems like Beckett is a bad idea just waiting to happen.
But he’s a bad idea she can’t seem to resist.

As Beckett and Gianna find themselves thrown together again and again, they can’t help but fall into the temptation of sizzling stolen kisses, of a desire so hot it brands. And soon they’re much, much closer than they ever wanted. Tempers flare when their families complicate things and the interfering citizens of Blue Moon Bend step in with their special brand of chaos.

Can Beckett and Gianna manage to disentangle themselves before it’s too late?

Or is the temptation too much for either of them to deny?
