Falling For Her Forbidden Bodyguard by Hana Sheik: Anisa has traveled on her own for a long time working in the film industry. About the time she is wrapping up her current project and leaving to go home, a man named Nasser shows up after following her to Madagascar. It turns out her brother, who she has not in contact with for several years, has hired a bodyguard to protect Anisa from enemies.

To say Anisa is unhappy with the situation is an understatement. She wants Nasser to leave immediately, but he tells her he works for her brother Ara so he cam’t do that. Nasser is handsome and kind, so she has to make the best of the situation.

Serious suspense is blended into the plot after Ara is involved in the type of situation he wanted to protect Anisa from. Will this help alleviate the estrangement between Anisa and Ara finally?

Anisa and Nasser find out they both have heavy burdens from the past. This has made their lives set on different goals. Nasser is looking for revenge. Will that really give him peace? Will Anisa and Nasser be able to move on and find a future together?

I enjoyed the different culture and exotic settings. Not much is shown about Anisa’s faith other than her wearing a hijab. I live in a very diverse community and see hijabs all around, including a recent showing of the movie “It Ends With Us”. I love that more romances are inclusive of the wide variety of people. No matter what other people say we are all of one race, the human race.

I have read other novels by author Hana Sheik. Her ability to write stories that take us on a journey to places we may never see adds a special depth.

RESISTING HER OFF-LIMITS PROTECTOR…

Independent and strong-willed Anisa is furious. Her estranged brother has hired a bodyguard to follow her all the way to Madagascar, supposedly to protect her from hidden enemies! But as their eyes lock, she can’t deny it would be easy to fall for the gorgeous stranger. Clearly Nasser feels the same, yet he’s grappling with guilt from a painful past.
