Falling for You by Barb Curtis: When Faith gets a mysterious call asking her to come to Sapphire Springs, she can’t imagine it being anything important. She hasn’t been back since her mother passed away. When she finds out that she is the sole beneficiary of her uncle’s will, she can’t believe it. She doesn’t understand why she was given it but decides to weigh her options. As she explores the town, she meets the locals, is offered a position, and starts to feel like she might finally belong somewhere.

Rob has had his eye on the historic mansion and has been patiently awaiting to meet the new owner to propose a purchase. After running into a pretty redhead in multiple places, he is shocked to find out the beautiful new girl is also the owner. When Faith decides she doesn’t necessarily want to sell and instead wants to refurbish the old home, he’s immediately aggravated by the entire situation. When she hires his uncle’s company to do the renovations, he is forced to spend more time at the house since he took on the position of his uncle’s newest apprentice.

As Faith and Rob interact while he works on the house, they start to understand each other a bit more and sparks begin to fly. Rob starts to realize how Faith’s upbringing has impacted her and how she wans to feel like she has a home. Faith begins to understand Rob’s issues that he has in his own personal life. As they spend more time together, they help each other in more ways than one.
Faith starts her journey in Sapphire Springs just wanting to belong. As she builds friendships with the locals, she finds herself belonging somewhere for once in her life. She has friends, a job she love, and more opportunities than she could ever imagine. She still has questions in her head though since she never experienced belonging before. As she builds on her relationships with Rob and others, she starts to understand what she wants in life and what she will do to achieve happiness.

Rob had been through a lot in the last year: deception in the form of his ex-wife’s infidelity, pain at the thought of losing custody of his kids, and rage at the man who tore his family apart. He channels all of his emotions into his work, but tries to focus on moving forward and being the best dad he can. When he meets Faith, he is shocked at the emotions he feels towards her. He thinks that he has to choose between his kids and her in order to keep custody, but his friends and family help him see that he can be there for everyone without giving anything up.

Overall, the book was so sweet! I loved the mystery aspect of it, which ran throughout the book. I think the characters were very fleshed out and I felt connected to them. I feel like I know what the previous two books would’ve covered, but if it is the relationships that I think they are, I would love to know how those couples fell in love. I can’t wait for more to come out to experience more of Sapphire Falls.

Book Info:

Publication: March 29, 2022 | Forever | Sapphire Springs #3

From the series that “fans of Susan Wiggs will find…to their liking” comes this irresistible story of a free spirit who falls for the last man she’d ever expect.
Just when recently evicted yoga instructor Faith Rotolo thinks her luck has run out, she inherits a historic mansion in quaint Sapphire Springs. Though Faith never imagined putting roots down anywhere, small-town life is growing on her, as is her fixer-upper house. If only her handsome new contractor, Rob Milan, would stop spoiling her daydreams with the realities of a major rehab…and his generally grouchy vibes.
A single dad of two, Rob doesn’t have much time for fantasy wish-list ideas his clients can’t afford. Then again, Faith’s creative energy might be exactly what he needs right now. But while Rob and Faith work to give her home the second chance it deserves, their spirited clashes wind up sparking a powerful attraction. As work nears completion, and Faith’s house becomes the shining jewel of the neighborhood, will she and Rob realize that they deserve a fresh start too?
