Falling Overboard by Sariah Wilson: Lucky has one rule: stay focused. As the newly hired chief stewardess on a luxury super yacht, she’s determined to keep her head down, save every penny, and finally open the bakery of her dreams. The last thing she needs? A distraction, especially one as dangerously charming as her new cabin mate. Hunter is a mystery wrapped in sun-kissed muscles and a killer smile. As the yacht’s newest deckhand, he’s supposed to follow the rules. But when he and Lucky are forced to share close quarters, sparks fly in ways neither of them can ignore. The problem? Crew members are strictly forbidden from dating, and getting caught means losing everything. As they sail through the breathtaking Mediterranean, stolen glances turn into late night whispers, and resisting each other becomes harder than navigating stormy seas. But Lucky has worked too hard for her future; can she risk it all for a chance at love?

OMG, a yacht romance, yes please! Falling Overboard was EVERYTHING that I could have asked for, as a fan of Below Deck this book just calls to my romance drama loving heart! While being set against the glamorous backdrop of the Mediterranean on a super yacht, this book is a blend of sizzling chemistry, workplace drama, and dreamy seaside scenery, truly the perfect read for any Below Deck fan! Wilson has done a brilliant job in creating this forbidden, forced proximity, work place romance that just keeps delivering.

Lucky was an easy to love leading lady and I really enjoyed getting to see her kind of let her hair down as the book progressed. At first she comes across as this all business, serious stew, but the more we get to know her the more we understand that she really is just trying to make her dream of owning her own bakery a reality. She has a strong sense of responsibility, shaped by her past struggles. Her family has never had much money, and she knows that financial security isn’t guaranteed. This makes her cautious when it comes to romance with Hunter. Now lets talk about our mysterious deckhand Hunter, well lets just start of by say this guy just seemed like a hunk. Despite his good looks and easygoing personality, Hunter isn’t the typical bad boy hero. He’s respectful, funny, and surprisingly sweet, even as he flirts with Lucky. He also has his own reasons for being on the yacht which unfold as we dive further into the novel. One of the things that I really liked about Hunter was his strong morals, he might come across as this easy going, fun times guy, but he was actually more serious and level headed than he lets on.

The romance element in this book largely centres around the forced proximity and forbidden love tropes between Lucky and Hunter, and let me just tell you it makes for one delicious read! Lucky and Hunter’s relationship starts with playful tension as they navigate sharing a cabin, their attraction growing through stolen glances and witty banter. With the yacht’s strict no-romance policy hanging over them, resisting each other becomes a challenge neither expected. As they open up emotionally, their connection deepens beyond just physical attraction. I really enjoyed getting to see them both agonise over if their relationship was worth possibly putting their dreams on hold.

I loved reading Falling Overboard, the lush Mediterranean setting, sizzling chemistry, and workplace drama make it a fun and engaging book that’s easy to devour in a single sitting. This book is just perfect for fans of Below Deck, with a slow burn, forbidden, forced proximity, work place romance. Simply put read this book, it was romcom escapism perfection.
