Final Score (Last Bachelor Standing #3) by Nancy Warren: Dylan, Adam and Max have been good friends since they were only five years old. Now, thirty years later, they are still best buddies and successful in their chosen professions. Adam and Max have found true love, so by the process of elimination, Dylan is the last bachelor standing from their FScotrio. This story is about firefighter and renovation contractor Dylan Cross. Dylan is not only brave, he is incredibly good-looking, a decent hockey player and the pin-up as Mr. June in the charity calendar produced for his fire department.

Dylan screwed up royally during his last fire call and as a result, his chief forced him to take a two month leave of absence. Dylan definitely needs some time to reexamine his priorities and regroup. Thanks to Adam, Dylan’s days are now filled with a creative home renovation project, and the homeowner just happens to be smart, pretty and eager to help him create beauty in her home.

Cassie Price is a marine biologist as well as the new Director of Community Outreach for the local aquarium. She loves her job and making a difference in the lives of sea animals. She recently bought her first home and that needs a lot of cosmetic work. Luckily, she finds the help she needs when her friend Adam recommends Dylan to renovate her new sanctuary.

Almost immediately, Dylan and Cassie hit it off and although their first passionate kiss is the result of an klutzy fall, it is the beginning of a bright new future for the two of them. Cassie may just be the woman to take away Dylan’s “Last Bachelor Standing” honor. The sexual tension between them is magnetic and seductive. Each day of home renovation brings them closer together. In addition, having common friends that are happily coupled off, provides an awareness of a future life that they have just begun to contemplate.

I loved this book as well as the Last Bachelor Standing series. This is a well-written story, complete with great characters, a plot that twists and turns in all the right places, and an ending that will definitely leave a smile on your face. Thanks to this series, I am always on the look out for the next gem from Ms. Warren.

Welcome to Last Bachelor Standing!

How long can three sexy single men hold out?

The last man holding out is firefighter Dylan Cross—strong, tantalizingly hot, with a reckless streak a mile long. He’s also Mr. June in the firefighter calendar. But while Dylan will risk his life without a moment’s thought, he would never risk his bachelorhood….

Dylan made a deal to help Cassie Price renovate her new home. But having a mouthwatering Mr. June fixing up her place is more temptation than Cassie can resist. But keeping her cool with this sexy confirmed bachelor is almost impossible…and if she’s not careful, she’ll find herself playing for keeps!
