Going-HardGoing Hard by Cari Quinn is highly entertaining, with a heroine who pulls no punches and says what’s on her mind. This includes telling the guy she’s crushed on forever, that he sucked in bed….and this is just in the opening pages. Let’s just say, that I immediately devoured the book in one sitting.

Hollie Bennett is the town librarian and she’s tired of being the good girl. She wants an adventure and she intends to chase after it. Since her brothers are busy with their lives, she’s out to find someone to get wild with. If only Rafe Martinez would stop following her everywhere and screwing up her plans.

Rafe was a gentleman during the first time he was with Hollie and well…it didn’t go quite as planned. Hollie now thinks of Rafe as lame and doesn’t want any part of him. Hollie needs excitement in her life. She’s only had 3 lovers, but she knows what she wants from the books she reads and the porn she watches. What she doesn’t need is someone who treats her like glass, the way Rafe did, which is really an upset to Holli because she’s had a major crush on him while growing up. It’s just too bad he didn’t live up to her expectations.

They were friends, then they had the disastrous hookup, now they’re enemies..kind of. Hard to be enemies when her brother is married to his sister. It really is a small town for them. When Hollie gets arrested, Rafe’s sister comes to him and begs him to keep an eye out for her and to be her companion. The more he’s around her the less control he has and control is everything to him. Because of his father’s mistakes, Rafe never takes risks. He’s responsible, reserved, and follows the rules, but being with the Hollie makes him forget everything but her. As much as Rafe tries to stay in control, their attraction for each other becomes too much to resist and Rafe gets another chance with Hollie and this time, he’s out to prove he’s no dud!

Rafe and Hollie show a great amount of chemistry and it’s easy to see why these two belong with each other. Hollie and Rafe complete each other in ways no one else can. If you enjoy your romance to be full of heat and include unforgettable characters, this book is for you!

He lives on the straight and narrow, but she’s determined to take the curves way too fast…

Librarian Hollie Bennett is used to being overshadowed by her older brothers. One’s a country star, one’s a former football star…and she’s just a sedate librarian with a secret thing for high-end lingerie and fast sports cars.

One person she doesn’t have a thing for? Obstinate, rule-abiding, stupidly hot Rafe Martinez—her older brother’s best friend.

Until the night he saves her from herself, after she decides to go a little wild at a party. And the guy she ends up going wild with is the one she hates during the day—Rafe.

Accountant. Suit. Man with an amazing skill with his tongue that can’t be un-known no matter how hard she tries.

And he’s not ready to give up his wild-woman-in-librarian’s-clothing…even if he has to dig out every trick in his arsenal to prove she’s not the only one with a hidden naughty side.
