Grayson’s Vow by Mia Sheridan: Kira Dallaire is the true definition of a bird trapped in a gilded cage, only difference being Kira is determined to get out from under her fathers controlling and abusive thumb, all she has to do is get married and get hands on her inheritance left to her by her late grandmother. Which is how she winds up making Grayson Hawthorn a crazy offer that could benefit both of them, all they have to do is get married so that her trust fund gets released to her and then she can in turn help Grayson resurrect his families struggling vineyard. But what happens when what was supposed to be a temporary arrangement begins to feel more an more real with each passing day, more so now that being with Kira is making Grayson want more out of life than what he originally thought he could have…
As always Sheridan has crafted a beautifully additive tale of two people searching for a place in life only to find this powerful all consuming love. I loved that even thought Grayson and Kira has such different back stories once they find their way to each other their connection is unbreakable. As a fan of the marriage of convenience trope Grayson’s Vow got me hooked pretty much from the very first chapter, there was something so beautifully moving about these two people coming together.
“If you let it, pain makes more space for love within you. And the love we carry inside makes us strong when nothing else can.”
Kira is such a brilliant lead female character, even when pushed into a corner she has a never give up or back down attitude. I loved that she was so far from a meek and timid female character, she had such a feisty and vibrant personality and I just loved getting to see her bring out a new side to Grayson. Now as far as damaged heroes go, well I’m a total sucker for them and that is exactly what Sheridan gives us with Grayson. Gosh this guy has a past, a big one that is following him around like a dark cloud, sure his past has made him more cautious about allowing people into his circle but this only made my heart break for him. Once you get to learn his story and what shaped into the closed of man that we meet you to will want to give him a big hug. Thankfully time with out fire cracker Kira, Grayson finally begins to realise that his past can’t define him and he begins to find a new sense of life. This was truly beautiful to see unfold.
I just loved the connection between Grayson and Kira, these two could not have been more different, but gosh do they complete each other. As much as I loved the fire and spicy side to their relationship, it was the more tender moments to this couple that really stole my heart. These two really embodied the feeling of with love you have strength to persevere.
Grayson’s Vow is a must read, this was so much more than a simple fake turned real, marriage of convinces romance, this book captured the true meaning of leaning on one another, unconditional love and support. Truly a beautiful read!

Kira Dallaire is desperate. She must get married, and fast, to access the inheritance her late grandmother left her. Otherwise, she’ll find herself at the mercy of her wealthy, abusive father. With little money and even fewer options, she uses her quick wit and impulsive heart to come up with a plan.
Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope. A convicted felon with limited capital and dwindling resources, his vow to resurrect his family’s struggling vineyard seems destined to fail. That is, until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish proposal―a win-win business marriage he can’t refuse. But what begins as a temporary arrangement soon threatens to become more, as vibrant, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself.
As their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, the two realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb, and lies and deception rarely precede a happily ever after.
