Review: Highlander Most Wanted by Maya Banks

Highlander Most Wanted by Maya Banks is a compelling, captivating, whirlwind of a romance that kept me dreaming of a highlander of my own!

Genevieve McInnis has spent the last year in captivity, kidnapped by the evil Ian McHugh.  She has experienced unspeakable torture, and has been scarred for life, so that no other man may ever want her. Genevieve’s family believes her to be dead, and she does not want them to know otherwise, because she does not wish them to see her pain and humiliation.  Genevieve craves her freedom and has set her sights on living out her days in an abbess.  It is a surprise to her that the new Laird’s brother Bowen Montgomery, is so kind to her, she believes that no man will ever want her because of her hideous scar.

Bowen Montgomery is appalled at the way the McHugh clan treats Genevieve and he does everything in his power to protect her from their abuse.  He greatly admires Genevieve’s strength and is quite taken with her beauty. It isn’t long before he is smitten with Genevieve and he sets out to show her how love can truly be.  Genevieve has a secret that she is hiding from Bowen though that could tear their love apart.  Will Bowen be able to forgive her when he finds out that she has betrayed his clan, and will Bowen be able to let Genevieve go in order to let her find true happiness?

Highlander Most Wanted is book number two in the Armstrong / Montgomery series.  I haven’t had a chance to read the first book, Never Seduce A Scot, but I will definitely be adding it to my to be read list!

Highlander Most Wanted is a beautiful love story about finding love against all odds.  I greatly admired Genevieve’s strength and courage, and I fell deeply in love with Bowen, he is all that I would look for in a man.  He is attentive, loving, caring, kind, and brave.  Did I mention that he was super hot, and swoon worthy?  I would highly recommend this sweet and seductive tale to all lover’s of Scottish romance!
