REVIEW: His Lover’s Little Secret by Andrea Laurence

In His Lover’s Little Secret by Andrea Laurence, Sabine never felt comfortable in Gavin’s rich world, so she left him before knowing that she was pregnant with his child. She never contacted him again because she knew he was not ready to be father. Gavin is shocked to know he is a father and wants to be a part of his son’s life. Sabine does not mind letting Gavin in their son’s life but she refuses to give in to all of Gavin Brooks’s demands. His power and his wealth won’t turn her head this time. She’ll let him get to know Jared, but she won’t go back to Gavin’s privileged world…or his bed.

Gavin knows that it was a mistake in letting Sabine go away from his life. Now that he knows that he has a child with her, he would do anything to prevent her from getting away from him again.

His Lover’s Little Secret by Andrea Laurence is a well written second chance romance with the secret baby trope. Sabine and Jared have to solve a lot of problems to find their HEA and in the end it is all worth it. Sabine has her insecurities with being able to fit into Gavin’s lifestyle and that is the main conflict from her side in accepting Gavin. She is a great single mother and her whole life revolves around her son Jared. Gavin’s childhood makes him believe that relationship are not meant to last. I loved how he slowly took on the fatherly duties and shared so much love with his son, Jared. Whether it was the trip to zoo or the circus, the father son duo stole away my heart.

The romance is believable and enjoyable because of the great chemistry the characters share. The twist in the end could have been more unexpected because I have read that before in other romances too.

Overall, His Lover’s Little Secret by Andrea Laurence is a delight for everyone who loves reunion romances with a strong heroine, an easy to like hero and an adorable baby.
