Housebroke by Jaci Burton: Buying a new home is always fun but walking into your new home only to find a strange woman and her army of dogs squatting, well that is less than ideal. However this is the new reality that Linc Kennedy faces, it would seem that when Linc bought the house the previous owner forgot to inform him that his new home comes with a few house guests. After an awkward first encounter, some rather bargaining and a few strange noises Linc and Hazel come to an agreement, she and all the dogs can stay at the house while Linc renovates the place in exchange Hazel will cook for Linc, but once it is done then so is their arrangement. The only problem with this being Linc never expected to feel so drawn to the selfless Hazel or her slightly quirky bunch of dogs, now Linc needs to find away to tell Hazel that he might have lied a bit about how wealthy he actually is without losing her in the process…

Housebroke was one of the cutest romcom reads to grace my Kindle, this book was both sweet and touching at the same time. I am such a sucker for a novel with animals in it and this book had quite a few fur babies that stole my heart. This book truly was the cutest forced proximity romcom you will read, there was little to no drama but loads of cuteness.

Hazel has to be one of the best and most loveable leading ladies ever. She is kind, caring, selfless and considerate towards others. This only made my heart break for her and all that she had been through, really her ex was a total tool. Its no easy feet to be left with literally nothing and have to figure out what to do next. At least she had her foster dogs to keep her going and make sure she smiled daily. As for our hero Linc, well he was pretty easy going. I loved that he kind of just fell into a routine with Hazel and the dogs. I loved that he was so supportive of her and really kind of just spoilt her, which is what she needed after coming out of a disastrous marriage. Also I loved the fact that Linc bonded with all of the dogs.

I really loved getting to see these two falling for each other, with the amount of time that they were spending together it was impossible for them not to eventually get attached. One of the things that I loved the most about this couple was how supportive Linc was to all of what Hazel wanted to do. There was little to no drama in this book, the only issues was Linc hiding his financial status but this issues is quickly resolved. I loved that each of the dogs had a distinct personality of their own and they really aided in being supporting characters.

As much as I loved this book there were a few plot holes and flaws in the rational, this however was not a huge issue in the grand scheme of the book. All in all I really enjoyed Housebroke. If you like a cute, low drama, forced proximity romcom then this is definitely the book for you!
