REVIEW: In Bed with the Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden

In Bed with the Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden is the final book in the amazing Nine Circles series and it’s a doozy! This story is dark yet powerful and just when you think you have things figured out, the author sends you down an emotional rollercoaster without a way to get off. Things are not always black and white and not everything is as is seems, and readers find this out through Jericho and Temple’s story.

Temple has been hired to take out Jericho. She has no issues with this job, in fact, she has her own agenda for getting close to Jericho. He’s one of the most powerful criminals in the world and to the outside looking in, he’s the leader of a human trafficking ring. Temple plans to get close enough to him that he tells her where her sister is and then kill him. Temple is a strong woman and not someone you should underestimate. She wants answers and Jericho is the one who can provide them to her. What she didn’t count on was the fierce attraction building between her and Jericho. He’s the only man who can turn her on, yet he’s the last man on earth she should be getting naked with.

Jericho knows Temple isn’t who she’s pretending to be and plans to break her. He wants to know everything about her and when he finds out their attraction to each other is mutual and undeniable, he uses that to his advantage.

“There was something dizzyingly erotic about lying this close to his own death. About feeling the strength slowly bleed out from her as he touched her. And part of him wanted to prove to her how helpless she was against the desire that flared between them, and how utterly she was at its mercy.”

Throughout the story, we find out Temple and Jericho have a few things in common and even though both characters are damaged, they’re not broken. Temple and Jericho gravitate to each other and understand each other, in a way, no one else can. Their attraction to each other is intense and when they are together, it’s nothing short of explosive.

The writing is fantastic. This author drew me in from the beginning and kept me at the edge of my seat all the way to the end. Flawed characters, blurred lines, and a deep allure, makes this a must-read!
