In Good Company by Kat Singleton: Lucy never expected to spend her summer cooking gourmet meals in a Hamptons mansion, especially not for Cal… however with her dream job all but handed to her on a silver plater by easily the most charming man in town, how is a girl to say no? Callahan Hastings is rich, relentless, and dangerously charming. He also happens to be her ex-boyfriend’s older brother, talk about conflict of interest. But when he offers her a job as his private chef for the summer, Lucy knows she should say no, the only problem being Cal just isn’t taking no for an answer!
The lines between them are already blurred, and working under the same roof? It’s a recipe for disaster, especially when Cal is not afraid to play dirty to keep her close. But what starts as a game of temptation quickly turns into something neither of them can control. Their chemistry is electric. Their past is messy. And in the Hamptons, where secrets simmer beneath champagne-fueled nights, falling for the wrong person comes at a price. She was supposed to be off-limits, he was supposed to be untouchable, this thing between never even supposed to have happened…
Loved!! In Good Company was just perfection, truly I could not get enough of this cute, spicy, slightly forbidden romcom! Set in the opulent world of the Hamptons, it was impossible not to get lost in this slow burn romance as Cal and Lucy try to navigate their forbidden feelings for each other. Kat Singleton has become an instant auto-read author for me, this lady just has a way with crafting the most magical and consuming romcoms that you will find.
Both main characters in this book were super easy to love and get invested in. Now if you know anything about me, you will know that I love a rich, confident, billionaire hero and this was exactly what we get with Cal. Cal just exudes confidence, control, and an aura of dominance that makes him simply irresistible. While at first he comes across as this cocky and self-assured suit, the more we get to know Cal the more we get to see emotional dept and complexities. We really get to understand that while he might come from wealth and a fancy family, he has actually worked very hard for everything that he has and he takes immense pride in his work.
Now for our leading lady, Lucy, well she could not be more different to Cal and all the wealth that he comes from, but this does not stop Lucy from fighting for her dreams and striving to be the best version of herself. I loved that Lucy was so hard working and independent. While she might have had a more difficult past, she was determined not to allow this to define her future. I completely understood why she was so reluctant to allow something to form between her and Cal, after her relationship with his brother and if anything this only made me love her character just a bit more.
I love a good slow burn, add in the fact that Kat gave us a sizzling forbidden romance and you best know I was hooked! The tension and build up between Cal and Lucy was just perfection! These two had so much of lingering attraction and that deliciously slow burn only got hotter as the book progressed! I just ate up the way Cal was so determined to win over Lucy, he was a guy that knew what he wanted and was not afraid to pull out all the stops to get his girl. While Cal is used to just flashing his money and getting the girls to melt for him, this did not work for Lucy. She made him work to get her trust and affection, and I just loved this dynamic in their relationship, she wanted the man behind the money. I really enjoyed getting to see these two work their way into each others hearts and slowly getting each other to lower their walls.
With its sharp dialogue, slow burn intensity and an irresistible hero who refuses to back down, this novel is sure to leave readers swooning. If you love billionaire romances with strong heroines, steamy tension, and a dash of drama, In Good Company is a must read.

Callahan Hastings is relentless when it comes to getting what he wants, and what he wants is me–to be his private chef in the Hamptons for the summer.
My dream job served to me on a silver platter by one of the wealthiest members of Pembroke Hills Country Club.
The only catch? He’s my ex-boyfriend’s older brother with a reputation for being as charming as he is cunning.
But Cal doesn’t take no for an answer. He draws you in with flirty smiles and extravagant promises.
I should have seen him coming, but I didn’t. I should have stayed away, but I couldn’t.
His playful touches and burning gaze have ignited a fire in me. The more I resist him, the more irresistible he becomes.
I’ve always known there’s an expiration date on the job–an expiration date on us.
But leaving isn’t going to be easy with Cal on his knees, begging me to stay…
