HJ_TopPick In It Must Be Your Love (The Sullivans #11) by Bella Andre, When Mia Sullivan walked out on rock star Ford Victor It-Must-Be-Your-Lovefive years ago, she swore she would never give him the time of day again. Sure they had a scorching hot week together, turning her fantasies into reality…until Ford’s ego got in the way. Now Mia owns a successful brokerage company in her hometown of Seattle and exudes confidence. So how can one encounter with Ford shake her to her core? He still has the ability to read her every emotion and turn her knees to jelly. When Mia figures out just how serious Ford is in his pursuit of her, the struggle is on to balance what her heart, her body, and her mind all want.

‘Ford had always known where to touch her…and her heart had been lost for five years looking for a rhythm that only he could play.’

Ford knows everyone lives with some regrets in their lifetime. But his biggest regret–not realizing how truly wonderful Mia was and letting her get away–has haunted him for five long years. An opportunity to make things right between them presents itself. Ford can clearly see that making a life with Mia is the only way to fulfill his ultimate dream of finally having love and family. Although he didn’t realize how difficult it would be to open up to Mia and to earn her trust, friendship, and ultimately, her love. Ford knows, though, that every single moment with her will be worth it in the end.

‘There had been a lot of great moments in Ford’s life. His first sold-out show. Winning his first Grammy. Having his lyric notebooks put into the permanent displays in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But holding Mia in his arms easily surpassed them all.’

I can always count on Bella Andre for a story that will take my breath away with the passion, hope, and power of the love between her characters. And boy was Ford and Mia’s relationship a true testament to that fact.

I have to say that I absolutely adore the Sullivans–both the San Francisco and the Seattle clans. They have such cool family dynamics, especially given that they are a rather large family with strong varying personalities. I really wish I could put into words the connection that I have to these characters with every new installment I read. There is just something about the way Ms. Andre writes her scenes, with the emotions fitting the situation perfectly, killer dialogue, and such well developed plots and characters, that I always come back for more. One would think that after eleven or more full length books in this series it would be old hat by now. But for me, it’s not even close. I always look forward to learning more about each family member while they find their true love.

I loved that Mia was so strong and knew her own mind. But I also loved that her four brothers and her parents were her center. She always came back to them for support and love. I thought it was interesting how her family connection was something that Ford longed for, as he had never had that with his own parents. It freaked him out a bit when they met the first time. It was difficult for Ford to understand that Mia might not be able to give up her family and blossoming career to follow him on the road. But five years later, he found that he craved that stability he’d never experienced before and that Mia and her family could give that to him. Watching both Ford and Mia realize how much fuller and richer their lives could be with each other in it was a terrific thing to behold.

I think fans of second-chance romances will fall in love with Mia and Ford. Their path to forever had some bumps along the way, but more than that, it was filled with friendship, forgiveness, and a intensity that wouldn’t let go.

From the first moment they see each other again, intense sparks of attraction fly. Between irresistible kisses, a romantic Sullivan wedding in Napa Valley, and a deeply sensual connection that neither of them can deny, can Mia and Ford finally rediscover a love—and a friendship—strong enough to last forever?
