Junk Mail by Kendall Ryan: Josh has been working so very hard and just wanted to let off some steam. He’s really committed and focused to ensuring the success of the company he runs with his best friend, so he’s not at all looking for a relationship. He’s smart, sexy, funny, charming, and a catch if he was actually interested in a relationship.
Peyton is a hardworking entrepreneur looking for her next break. She’s determined to take her company to the next level to better support herself and her grandma. She’s confident, sassy, and 100 percent focused on work right now. Dating is the last thing on her mind, especially with any number of examples in her past of why dating sucks.
Josh has high hopes to find someone who just wants a good time, until he sends a sexy selfie to the wrong number. It goes from bad to worse when he realizes the new client he’s trying to land is none of other than Peyton, the unfortunate recipient of said selfie. Both valiantly try to move past that awkwardness as teaming up makes perfect sense from a business perspective.
She raises her gaze to mine. “Both. Can we have a whatever you call it in basketball? A mulligan?”
I chuckle. “That’s a golf term. But we can just call it a do-over.”
“Yes, we need a do-over,” she says with an earnest nod. “We need to pretend it never happened and go about this meeting like we’ve never met before today.”
They agree to be professional from here on out, but that is not exactly easy when there’s a very inconvenient attraction that both feel. They enjoy working together despite the fact that they can’t stop thinking about each other. Josh proves that he’s nothing like the guy Peyton assumed him to be as he’s sweet, generous, and thoughtful.
“Isn’t it a little dangerous to drink red wine on a white carpet?”
Josh’s eyes narrow to slits, a smile tugging at his lips as he closes the space between us. He’s close enough to get me buzzing before I’ve even had a sip of wine.
He raises his glass, waiting for me to clink mine against it. “Isn’t it a little dangerous for us to be alone together when we said we’d keep it professional?”
Junk Mail is entertaining, funny, and sexy. Kendall Ryan provided humor, heat, tension, romance, and great dialogue. Ms. Ryan developed entertaining characters, especially Peyton’s grandma. Fans of Emma Hart and Piper Rayne will enjoy Junk Mail.

It all started with a sexy selfie.
Texted to the wrong number.
Oops.
Not my finest moment—but I have nothing to be ashamed of.
She thought I was no better, and I quote, than the knuckle-dragging douche-bags she was never dating again.
It was a stupid dare from a girl I’d met online, but since she’d given me a fake number, I didn’t feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere—on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening.
The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana.
When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to Peyton as the new client I needed to win over. The Peyton , in case you’re not tracking.
And let’s just say she had my full attention.
Brains? Check.
Beauty? Oh yeah.
And the best part? She hated me on sight.
Dear God, do I love a challenge.
Let the games begin.
