kissmeinchristmasKiss Me in Christmas (Christmas, Colorado #6) by Debbie Mason: I have read a number of the books in the Christmas, Colorado series. I have not read them in order, but that does not seem to matter, each book can be read as a stand alone, although characters from the other books travel from book to book. This is the story of Chloe and Easton.

Chloe’s acting career is down the tubes. She has just lost her long standing job with no prospects on the horizon. When her mother calls insisting that she returns home to attend her twin sisters engagement party, Christmas, Colorado is the last place that she wants to be. Not just because she has lost everything, but because the boy turned man that she has loved since she was 15, the man that she cannot get out of her head is still there, and still turns her world upside down.

Easton McBride was in love with Chloe’s sister Cat, until the sisters decided to switch places on him and turned his life upside down. Easton has forgiven Cat, but he still thinks that Chloe is nothing more than an over pampered, over indulged drama queen. Yes, she is sexy, yes she makes his blood run hot, but he has to protect his heart and keep her at a distance.

When Chloe has an idea to get Easton and Cat back together, she enlists Easton’s help. Knowing that he needs to play along to keep Chloe from ruining her sisters happiness, he decides to play Chloe’s game, but what neither of them count on is that they would fall prey to their own trap and end up falling for each other.

This story has so much humor that at times I found myself laughing out loud, holding my sides and shaking my head. There is always a touch of mystery to each of the stories, a bit of angst, but in the end, a beautiful HEA that makes this book and this series a complete joy to read.

It’s always been you…

Actress Chloe O’Connor has become America’s sweetheart, but back in little Christmas, Colorado, she’s still remembered as a shy, awkward schoolgirl. And there’s no one she dreads (and secretly wants) to see more than her high school crush, Easton McBride. Just one look from the former star quarterback and it’s like she’s instantly transformed from daytime drama queen to tongue-tied teenager. She’s kissed Hollywood actors and famous cover models, so she can certainly play it cool while turning up the heat, right?

After an injury ended his military career, Easton McBride built a good life in the rugged countryside of his hometown. And the last thing he needs is his quiet solitude shattered by a high-maintenance temptress who isn’t anything like the sweet Chloe he misses. While he enjoys the flirtation with this new bold and beautiful woman, he can’t help but wonder whether a kiss could have the power to bring back the small-town girl he’s grown to love.
