LOVE IRRESISTIBLY by Julie James it the forth in the FBI/U.S. Attorney series by Julie James, and after reading this book I am going to run out to grab the rest!

LIBrooke Parker is the General Counsel for an expanding restaurant company. She is very goal orienated, living a fast-paced and extremely busy life. In fact, work is her life. Because of that, her relationships have always ended abruptly, with the others claiming that she’s not a “big-picture” type of girl. Believing what she needs is a no-strings-attached relationship, she finds a partner in Cade Morgan, Assistant U.S. Attorney, who is as devastatingly charming as can be. Cade is handsome, confident, and talented, and he’s also not looking for a soul-searching, long-term relationship. But for these two people thinking they want only a temporary arrangement, love surges like a spark of thunder, forcing them to open their eyes and change their lives for the permanent future.

This author has the remarkably ability for turning daily, supposedly mundane events into development steps for her characters. The writing is superb and flows wonderfully, turning each day into one of contemplation and subtle change for Cade and Brooke. As Brooke comes to realize that it’s time to slow down her life, refocus on the friends and family she’s been missing out due to work, Cade slowly bonds with the half-brother he’s never known for 16 years, and takes steps to forming a relationship with the father who abandoned him.

LOVE IRRESISTIBLY was a really great read. Between the friendship and laughter of Cade and his FBI friends and the emotional interaction of Cade and Brooke comes a great love story that is highly recommended.

HE’S USED TO GETTING WHAT HE WANTS…

A former football star and one of Chicago’s top prosecutors, Assistant U.S. Attorney Cade Morgan will do anything to nail a corrupt state senator, which means he needs Brooke Parker’s help. As general counsel for a restaurant company, she can get a bug to the senator’s table at one of her five-star restaurants so the FBI can eavesdrop on him. All Cade has to do is convince Brooke to cooperate—and he’s not afraid to use a little charm, or the power of his office, to do just that.

AND WHAT HE WANTS IS HER

A savvy businesswoman, Brooke knows she needs to play ball with the U.S. Attorney’s office—even if it means working with Cade. No doubt there’s a sizzling attraction beneath all their sarcastic quips, but Brooke is determined to keep things casual. Cade agrees—until a surprising turn of events throws his life into turmoil, and he realizes that he wants more than just a good time from the one woman with whom he could fall terrifyingly, irresistibly in love. . .

I also ADORE her books. I wish she had more, but they’re good enough to re-read. I just read the whole series over again using this book as an excuse. 😉
