Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison: Stella Bloom loves her Lovelight Farm and there is not a single thing that she would not do to make the farm a roaring success, but it would just seem that things are not going according to plan. With a damaged fence, destroyed pumpkins, a plot of dead trees and a shipment of orders that have gone missing Lovelight Farm can’t help but find itself in a bit of a financial hole.
With the farm in dire need a a cash injection Stella decides to enter a contest to gain a bit of publicity but also in the hopes of winning a nice fat cash prize, now this all sounds well and good right? All except the fact that Stella entered the contest saying she owns the farm with her boyfriend… a boyfriend that does not infact exist! Que in the help of her best friend Luka, the two would do just about anything to help each other, so what is the harm in faking a relationship?
I think by now if you know me, you would know that I am a fan of small town romances and the mooshier there better, and this is exactly what we get from Stella and Luka in Lovelight Farm. This book was equal parts cute and sweet, there was really nothing not to love about this adorable small town, friends to lovers romcom. Also how can you not just love a romance set during Christmas, it’s like an added layer of happiness.
Stella was such a sweetheart, I loved her character to bits. She was kind, compassionate, resilient, help and so independent. Then at times she was a total mess, naive and so unsure about matters of the heart, however I think this only made me like her all the more. I really enjoyed getting to see her grow and realise that it is okay to ask for help and that it does not make her any less of a boss lady.
Oh Luka! Our hero was just the cutest, this guy was prime book boyfriend material of ever there was any. Not only was he kind, caring, smart and handsome but he had been harboring feelings for Stella for ages! I just loved seeing him fit into the role of pretend boyfriend with such ease. Also can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that the guy loves to cook! Talk about just making hkn all the more appealing.
I just loved the chemistry between Luka and Stella, the level of comfort between them only made their fake relationship feel all the more real. I really liked that we got a glimpse into their past and the start of their friendship. They had great banter and tension and the transition from fake to real flowed perfectly. The secondary characters in this book were terrific, I loved all the little bits that they added to the story and in true small town fashion they were all invested in the budding romance.
Lovelight Farms was akin to drinking a cup of hot cocoa on a cold winters day, this book will leave you feeling warm, fuzzy and so contented. Definitely a must read!

Two best friends fake date to reach their holiday happily ever after in this first romantic comedy in the Lovelight series.
A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams.
In an effort to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was a kid, Stella enters a contest with Instagram-famous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, Stella might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s just one problem. To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on her application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only…there is no boyfriend.
Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just stopped by for some hot chocolate and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process. But fake dating his best friend might be the best Christmas present he’s ever received.
