Luck of the Draw by Kelley Vitollo is a fun romance and the second story in the Shamrock Falls series.

Rowan McKinley is in Vegas for a hospitality trade show. Now that her dream of opening a LOTDbed and breakfast has come true she should be happy. But her first time in sin city and she feels lonely, especially since her brother who happens to be there too doesn’t have the time to meet with her.

Breck Wilder is in Vegas for a poker tournament. All he is interested in is his poker, but when he spots Rowan in the bar he decides to break his no-woman rule he’s had for a while now. After being betrayed by the woman he loved and having his cat kidnapped by the woman who was his rebound he doesn’t want to be with any woman.

Now after a one-night stand, where Rowan ran out on him while he was asleep, he finds himself in need of R and R and his friend from college finds the perfect place for Breck to stay, in Rowan’s B & B. Without either of them knowing that they are about to be placed in very close quarters for six weeks, they are in for a big surprise.

But secrets are being kept by both of them and that may just make or destroy their relationship if they don’t open up. Rowan has a lot of insecurities to get over and by keeping a huge secret from Breck she may just end up loosing him. And while withholding information may not be exactly lying, keeping it away from the person you love may end up driving them away too, and this is something that Breck will find out soon enough.

Love can conquer a lot, but trust, understanding and forgiveness are essential if Rowan and Breck are to be the family they want to be.

Rowan McKinley isn’t looking for one wild night while vacationing in Vegas, but she gets it anyway when she meets professional poker player—and professional ladies’ man—Breck Wilder. Breck’s easygoing charm and lighthearted banter draw in the reserved Rowan, and though she’s always dreamed of the kind of forever love her best friends Sidney and Kade share, she’ll settle for one night with the charismatic player.

After their crazy one-night stand, Breck never expected to see the mysterious redhead again. So when he shows up at a Shamrock Falls B&B looking to get away for a few weeks and Rowan answers the door, he’s floored. Breck’s rolling-stone lifestyle and ill-fated history with women means he’s not interested in anything long-term. But the longer he stays at the B&B, the more he considers dropping the poker face and putting all his cards on the table…for Rowan.

Sounds good! Do you need to read the first book in the series to follow this?
