In Madam Temptress (The Magnolia Duet #2) by Meghan March, Just when Magnolia Maison thought things might finally be looking up for her she’s hit with the news that Moses Gaspard–the man she’s been in love with but hasn’t seen for fifteen years–has been lying to her. How series his fib is, she’s not sure. But Magnolia is going to try to keep her mind open and hear her man out. It turns out that they have bigger fish to fry, though, as they both come under attack by an unknown force with a penchant for bloodshed.

“I’m gonna make it my life’s mission to give you as much happy as you can handle, mama. Mark my words, that’s what I aim to do.”
I slide my arms around his waist and squeeze. “You’re already off to a good start.”

Moses has waited a *long* damn time to reclaim Magnolia as his own. And he’s not about to let anything or anyone stand in his way, now that he knows his woman feels the same about him. With the help of his two close friends as well as one of the most powerful men in New Orleans, Moses is going to find whoever is threatening Magnolia and put an end to it. No matter what it takes. Because one way or the other, he’s going to give her the happy ever after she deserves. And prove that love is sweeter the second time around.

‘I will fight for this.
For us.
For our future.
Come hell or high water, I’m never letting her go.’

Madam Temptress left me breathless. Completely and utterly breathless, with a heart so full of joy and love for the hard-won second chance Magnolia and Moses fought for, tooth and nail.

‘Any other woman would be losing her goddamned mind right now, catatonic with all the chaos and change, but not Magnolia Maison.
If I had any doubt about whether she could handle my life, it’s been wiped away. She’s strong as hell and all mine.’

I feel like I say this every time I read a conclusion to a Meghan March duet/trilogy, but Madam Temptress was EPIC. It was filled with mile-a-minute plot changes. Tons of passion and sexy moments between our awesome couple. And March threw everything you can imagine at Moses and Magnolia. It was intense watching them join forces to fight back against a killer set on revenge. We even got some more face time with Mount & Keira from the Mount Trilogy–and you won’t *believe* what happens to shake up their world!

Magnolia and Moses really were a match made in heaven. Or, more to the point, a couple forged out of difficult choices and who overcame horrific events. But I so adored them. Like I said about book one (Creole Kingpin) former madam Magnolia and former crime boss Moses are not your typical heroine and hero. So it might not work for all readers. Their world was dark, full of threats and not-so-legal dealings. But their take charge attitudes and loyalty to those they cared about was a perfect fit for who Moses and Magnolia were, deep in their hearts. And it made seeing them get redemption here–and finally getting their blissful HEA!–worth every single thing they endured.

Meghan March pulled no punches in Madam Temptress, which was a love story like no other. The devotion between Moses and Magnolia proved strong enough to overcome fifteen years of separation, multiple death threats, and every catastrophe imaginable. How can readers *not* cheer them on from the start?

I didn’t choose this path. No one would.
I played the cards I was dealt.
The life made me. The city made me.
I won’t apologize for who I’ve become.

Moses wouldn’t have me any other way.

He says he want forever, and I’m starting to believe him.
But I can’t outrun my past, and my sins are catching up with me.
It’s time to atone, I’ll gladly pay my penance.

We might be getting our second chance, but we have to make it out alive first.

Intense really is the perfect way to describe this duet of books. And HOT! *fans face* 😉 This was the ultimate anti-hero and anti-heroine who still capture your heart.
