Maid-for-a-MagnateMaid for a Magnate by Jules Bennett: Words hurt more than weapons sometimes. The word “mistake” used by the man you love? Can you ever get over that one?

Catalina Iberra was the family maid as her mother had been before her. It wasn’t that she liked being the maid, but she had dreams and for those dreams she needed money and she was good at what she did. Besides it kept the reminder, the former love of her life that had called her a mistake in the forefront of her mind, making her push even harder for her dreams.

Four years ago Will Rowling had let his father control the most important thing in his life, the woman that he loved. For four years he had been plotted on how to make his father pay and how to gain back the woman. It’s not that he had been an angel in those four years, but he knew his end goal and he was nothing if not a finisher.

When Will decides to put his plan into play Catalina isn’t sure what to make of anything, all she knows is that she isn’t ready to be another “mistake.” Then between a three day stay on a deserted island, a rowdy press core and revealing secrets who is to say what the future will hold.

Ms. Bennett has brought the reader back to the Montoro Family in this novel, which can also be read as a standalone. She has expanded on a world in her usual amazing fashion, giving her readers enough details to be there while allowing our imaginations to fill in our preferences. Her style allows for creationism of the best sort. This is a must read for those fans of the Cinderella style, Mediterranean style, oh and yes of the hard headed style. Do yourself a favor and pick up this one.

And make no mistake, he wants Cat Iberra—his father’s maid, and the woman who got away when they were young. All it takes is a stolen kiss to get the seduction started.

But Cat’s reluctant about the reunion. Fool her once, shame on Will, but fool her twice…well, maybe she’s in the mood to be fooled. But will a family secret scuttle her second chance with the man who won’t let go of her heart?
