In Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans, Rachel was warned by her best friends that taking the assignment to expose millionaire businessman Malcolm Saint’s innermost life to the world would most likely not end well. Little did she know how right they would be. Falling in love with the mysterious playboy was not on the agenda. Neither was gaining his trust and then losing it when Rachel’s article was suddenly released for the world to see.
“Take me,” I breathe.
“I’m taking you.”
“Use me. Do anything you want to me.”
“No,” he says chidingly. “You use something you discard. And I’ll never be done with you.”
Dealing with the fallout has been humiliating and devastating for Rachel. All she wants is to be wrapped up in Saint’s arms once more. So when he reaches out to her, asking to meet at his office in M4, hope returns. The passion is still there between them, but it will take some time and effort for Rachel to get back in Saint’s good graces. Once she does though, she’s never doing anything to abuse that trust or his love ever again.
‘People speculate on what I am. His girlfriend, his four-month girl, his lover, his fling, his obsession, his one sole error in judgment, his mistake. They can call me whatever they’d like, it doesn’t change anything. I’m his plus one…and he’s my everything.’
The sequel to Katy Evans’ explosive novel Manwhore is finally here! And there is a whole lot to be happy about. Incredible chemistry continued to wreak havoc between Saint and Rachel while they also dealt with trust issues and career shifts.
“It’s hard when everyone stares at the man you want, and you want him to want nobody but you.”
He simply says two words that melt me.
“He does.”
If you haven’t read book one, I would highly suggest doing so before starting this as it picks up exactly where the other left off. And what a dramatic ending book one had. Whew. I knew Rachel would be devastated emotionally to start off with in Manwhore +1. Katy Evans did a fantastic job describing Rachel’s thoughts and her everyday struggles until Saint reappeared in her life. As you could expect, everything got more complicated–and more passionate–once they began talking to each other again.
Rachel and Saint’s romance was a whirlwind from the beginning and things still moved right along this time around as well. It felt natural, though, that they would quickly be inseparable again. I did like that they tried to rebuild a foundation of trust between them given what happened in book one. Saint and Rachel’s friends were supportive but still kind of held their collective breath until they saw how things would play out, which seemed realistic.
I adored the ending and I’m sorry I can’t explain more about it, but it was so heartfelt. *happy sigh* I was a little surprised that the drama that had been building through the story didn’t really come to a head, but instead kind of fizzled out on its own. Still, it was an awesome end to the book. Keep in mind that there will be a novella finishing out the series, titled Ms. Manwhore, coming out soon. I cannot wait for that!! I’m also hoping we may get something about Saint’s or Rachel’s BFFs in the future…
If you love deep emotional connections, fun but intense love scenes, and intelligent dialogue, I think you will love Manwhore +1. Thank you, Katy Evans, for another addition to my keeper shelf!

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.
Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.
I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.
Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.
Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me—something unexpected—and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Thanks, Marcy! I don’t blame you. I think reading them all in a row instead of spacing them out will help you stay connected with the story. Enjoy!! 😉
