Matched to a Prince by Kat Cantrell is the second part in the Happily Ever After, Inc series and can be easily read as a standalone.

MTAPPrince Alain ” Finn” Phineas needs a wife to fulfill his royal duties and having been bitten once, he is unwilling to take the romantic route to find “The One” for him. He decides to hire a matchmaker to find him the perfect wife of convenience and is shocked to find that the woman chosen for him is none other than the woman who betrayed him.

Juliet Villere is on the lookout for a suitable husband and she is shocked too when the matchmaker finds her perfect match in Finn. Despite their history together, she still has feelings for him but is not willing to take the same path again. Then fate, in the form of the royal family, intervenes…

Trapped alone on a beautiful island, they are held “captive” until Finn can convince Juliet to marry him and end a political nightmare. His motives should be about serving his country. So why does his heart yearn for a second chance with Juliet–a real chance this time?

Matched to a Prince by Kat Cantrell has all the makings of the perfect modern day fairy tale. All the circumstances are in favor of the main characters and their obstacles are basically their stubbornness to hide their true feelings. Finn and Juliet are similar yet different in their own ways. They both are stubborn and don’t believe in a second chance. Their mutual intense attraction towards each other served as a kind of middle ground for them when they were stranded in the middle of no where.

Kat Cantrell handles the characters really well and despite their arguments and flaws, it is easy to see why they were perfect for each other. The romance was passionate and believable because the main characters had a history before.

Overall, Matched to a Prince by Kat Cantrell is a well written romance about second chances and how love does manage to conquer all (in a way 😀 ).
