Meet Me at the Wedding by Georgia Toffolo: If ever there were a person that Lilly would rather not see again it would be Henry Hawkesbury, but when the owner of the Hawkesbury Estate dies suddenly Lilly has no choice but to talk to Henry seeing as he is now in charge. All she needs to do is ensure that the wedding can still use the estate as the venue and her besties special day will go off without a hitch, to bad Henry wants nothing more than to sell the estate and leave Hawkes Cove and all those memories behind. However if Henry has any hopes of sell he has no choice but to ask Lilly for help, but she will only agree if he allows the wedding to continue as planned. With both of them working together under less than amicable conditions, old memories begin to resurface, can these to finally face their past head on?

Meet Me At The Wedding was a really good book, this is the fourth book in the Meet Me series, unfortunately I did not read the previous three books and gosh I so wish that I had. Now you can read this as a standalone but I think it would have been better reading the entire series in order to fully embrace these four friends and how their stories were intertwined. Nevertheless I really enjoyed reading Lilly and Henry’s story these two had a shared past that only added an extra layer to their current interactions and I was so there for all that tension!

Both Henry and Lilly were really great characters that had been holding on to events that happened ten years ago, which have to a large degree hindered them from truly living to their fullest. I really enjoyed getting to see these two finally facing these fears and insecurities in this book. The growth of these two characters is what really made this book for me. I liked that Henry finally leaned that he had to let go of the hurt and anger that he had been carrying around after the accident and Lilly has finally realised that she has to live her life for herself and not through her friends. All in all I enjoyed getting to see Lilly and Henry leaning on each other as much as they fought it at first these two really are the reason that they each have been able to heal from their old wounds. Also the underlying chemistry and tension between them was great!

I really liked the supporting characters in this book. It was great getting to see the four friends banding together to support and encourage each other. If anything the message of this book was that we all need a little help from our friends, no one can be an island in life.

I would definitely recommend reading Meet Me At The Wedding, however I would strongly suggest reading the other three books in the series first.

Reuniting her “awesome foursome” of friends from Meet Me in London , bestselling celebrity author Georgia Toffolo ’s charming enemies-to-lovers rom-com is an undeniably tart and sweet treat.

Lily Atwell loves living in Hawke’s Cove on the picturesque Devon coast, and planning her best friend’s wedding at the Hawkesbury estate is the icing on the cake. But when the estate’s owner dies, and his son cancels all bookings, Lily must face Henry Hawkesbury—the guy she hasn’t seen since that one fateful night ten years ago that changed her life for the worse. That changed her life forever.

Henry wants nothing more than to return to Hawke’s Cove, sell his estranged late father’s estate, and put all the history and bad memories to rest. He certainly does not want to host a wedding, or face Lily, who gets on with everyone—except him.

But when Henry needs Lily’s help to sell the property, she will provide it only on the condition that the wedding can go ahead as planned. Working together under less-than-amicable conditions means both must face their past and, in doing so, embrace their future. But can two people afraid of love acknowledge what they have always wanted?
