REVIEW: Midnight Surrender to the Spaniard by Carol Marinelli

Midnight Surrender to the Spaniard  is book 2 of 3 in Carol Marinelli’s trilogy Heirs to the Romero Empire and a July 2023 Harlequin Presents new release.

Single mother Anna had heard of the billionaire brothers before but is shocked when her friend Emily announces she is about to marry one of them. Arriving for the wedding, Anna is collected by Sebastian; brother and best man of the groom. Absolutely attractive is an understatement of a description for Sebastian but Emily is determined not to fall for the renowned playboy.

Sebastian is quite taken with Anna and under the moonlight of a beautiful wedding, magic is created. The most exciting night of her life, Anna creates memories of a lifetime with Sebastian only for them to part on bad terms.

Reuniting later for family reasons Anna and Sebastian are forced to re-evaluate their attraction. Torn between wanting to revisit the night, Anna decides to come clean. One night will never be enough.

Carol Marinelli is queen of slow burn; of stirring passions and weaving magic with her words. Setting the exotic scene with lyrical writing, Midnight Surrender to the Spaniard is a beautiful book, with a beautiful cover and with two characters I thoroughly enjoyed watching find their way to each other.

I am very much looking forward to the final installment.
