My Roommate Is a Vampire by Jenna Levine: Life as an artist is not for the faint of heart, after all most of the time you are barely scrapping by to make ends meet and no one knows this better than Cassie Greenberg. As much as she loves her art, it just does not seem to be paying the bills to the point now where she finds herself being evicted from her apartment. Needing a new place to live and fast Cassie throws caution to the wind and decides to check an ad for a roommate required in a way to good part of town with a rent that is to good to be true! But when Frederick seems normal enough even with his old world style of talking, Cassie has no choice but to take him up on his room mate offer. After all she really couldn’t ask for a better new roomie seeing as Fredrick works all night, sleeps all day and takes an interest in her art whenever they do cross paths, but things take a strange turn when Cassie accidentally stubbles upon bags of blood in the fridge, more than a little freaked out by her discovery will Cassie let Fredrick explain his way out of this little pickle or is she going to run for the hills?

I just loved this book, there was something so cute and easy to get invested in about this book. I could not help but want to read more and more of Cassie and Fredrick’s story. These two made for an oddly cute pair and I was so here for all their slightly strange but cute moments together. As far as slow burn, paranormal romcoms go this was a pretty good one, with more than a few scenes that will have you blushing.

Cassie was such a great leading lady, she was real, easy to love and so relatable. I really enjoyed getting to follow her as she helped Fredrick find his foot in the modern world. As for our regency era hero, well Fredrick was a total treat! I loved his character to bits, not only was he super charming but he was thoughtful and compassionate. I just could not get enough of his formal, well mannered behavior, he was a true gentleman with more than a little charm. I loved that he was able to pull of the charming broody hot vampire vibe but still be totally clueless, in short Fredrick has stolen himself a spot in my heart. Though I will say I was a bit confused about his backstory, his mother was a vampire but then he was turned during the war, this got me a bit confused but then again it was not a major issue.

I loved the connection between Cassie and Fredrick, these two had such a sweet low drama relationship that I just ate up. I really enjoyed getting to see her teaching him the wonders of the modern world, this made for more than a few laugh out loud moments. I do have to take a moment to mention Reginald, this guy was pure gold! I loved his pranks, the friendship he had with Fredrick and his poor taste in door mats. He totally should get his own book!

The only thing holding me back from giving this book a full five star rating is the third act conflict, this was really not needed and kind of felt forced. Aside from this I would highly recommend reading My Roommate Is A Vampire, this book is equal parts cute, sassy, steamy and has a very charming vampire hero that will have you swoon in no time!

Cassie Greenberg loves being an artist, but it’s a tough way to make a living. On the brink of eviction, she’s desperate when she finds a too-good-to-be-true apartment in a beautiful Chicago neighborhood. Cassie knows there has to be a catch—only someone with a secret to hide would rent out a room for that price.

Of course, her new roommate Frederick J. Fitzwilliam is far from normal. He sleeps all day, is out at night on business, and talks like he walked out of a regency romance novel. He also leaves Cassie heart-melting notes around the apartment, cares about her art, and asks about her day. And he doesn’t look half bad shirtless, on the rare occasions they’re both home and awake. But when Cassie finds bags of blood in the fridge that definitely weren’t there earlier, Frederick has to come clean…

Cassie’s sexy new roommate is a vampire. And he has a proposition for her.

I’ve heard this is a cute story. I’ve also heard the same thing about the conflict. Thanks for the review
