Mine To Hold by Natasha Madison: The night before your wedding is supposed to be a happy time, definitely not the time to be getting a love letter from you soon to be husband which was in fact indented for his lover, but this is exactly the predicament that Shelby finds herself in! After confronting her no good cheating ex in an epic show down at the alter in front of all their guests, Shelby now has an all expenses paid tropical honeymoon waiting for her and who better to go with than her best friend and the other person involved in the heartbreaking cheating scandal, Ace.
However it would seem that spending some time together in a romantic tropical paradise is starting to awaken some hidden feelings for both Shelby and Ace. The question is has their perfect match been right in front of them all this time without either really realising it?
“Never wanted anything more than to make you mine.”
This is the second book in the Southern Wedding series and let me just tell you I am loving every moment of it! It was pretty hard to put this book down once I picked it up and it only became more and more addictive as Shelby and Ace figured out their feelings for each other. I just loved that their story was a friends to lovers trope and that they were already in this awkward situation of being cheated on together, which only helped them to bond. I really liked that aside from the cheating drama there was really no major issues or drama in this book and it was at its core a sweet little read.
“You make me lose my mind … I’ve never wanted anyone the way I want you … Anyone.”
I just loved these two characters, they were so fun and easy going. I totally ate up the easy going banter and playfulness that they had between them. The over the top honeymoon vibe from the villa was just hilarious and the silly drinking game that Shelby and Ace formed only added to these laugh out loud moments. Things got seriously hot once these two finally decided to cross the friends only line. One of the things that I really liked about their relationship was the fact that they were both so open up front about how the were feeling. There was a bit of a will things actually work out moment but this only made their bond all the more strong, also I really liked the way Shelby wooed Aced when they got back home.
“I know that there is going to be one else for me, that she is it. She was always meant for me.”
I have to mention Presley and Clarabella these two were just hilarious! I loved the way the sisters poked fun at each other and created Shelby’s perfect wedding. It was also really nice getting to see Travis and Harlow again, I just love the way things are going for this couple. Also I just love the entire idea that they all think that their family is cursed and that all first weddings are doomed.
Mine To Hold was a low drama, super cute steamy friends to lovers romcom that I would highly recommend reading. I just can’t wait to get my hands on the next instalment of the Southern Wedding series.
