Mr. Wrong Number by Lynn Painter: Olivia Marshall has the worst luck of all time, if there is something that could go wrong, it would definitely happen to her! So when she gets fired and then accidentally burns down her apartment building while torching a few love letters from her ex, it really comes as no surprise to anyone that knows her. However this little incident does leave her homeless, which is how Olivia finds herself moving in with her brother Jack and his best friend Colin Beck, until she finds a new job and is able to save up enough money to get her own place. Well this wouldn’t be so bad if only Colin wasn’t such a jerk face that made her teenage years hell by always mocking her. Oh and did mention that he is a total hottie?
Determined to make a fresh start the last thing Liv has time for is to daydream about the arrogant Colin, with her new gig at the Times she is well on her way to making a full comeback. Also it sure doesn’t hurt that the little ‘what are you wearing’ miss-text has turned into one of the hottest covert relationships she has ever had, but what happens when Liv finds out exactly who is behind all those steamy sexts?
“Why do I even like you when you’re such a pain in the ass?”
“You’re just a glutton for punishment, I guess.”
Colin is all about order, control and precision in his life, so to have his best friends annoying younger sister come to stay with them is less than ideal especially when Colin realises that Liv is all grown up now and boy has she turned into a beauty! Between having Liv shaking things up at home and sharing some steamy chats with his mystery mis-dial, Colin can’t help but question could his mystery lady and his new roomie be one and the same person?
Mr. Wrong Number was just perfection, I loved reading this book from start to finish, not only was there great chemistry between out two main character but that element of when will they realise who is on the other end of those texts was just addictively angsty!
“I’d gone from finding her the most annoying girl on the planet to being inexplicably obsessed with her.”
Olivia was such a fun character to follow. She was crazy chaotic but in the best way possible. I loved her loud crazy energy and that even with all these catastrophes happening around her/ to her, she was still such an up beat gal. I loved the sass and banter she sent Colin’s way, these two were just a blast to read. It was so easy to get invested in their back and forth text thread.
As for our guy Colin, he was more on the quiet broody side but once you got him going he was hilarious. I loved the way Colin and Liv balanced each other out, where Liv was this whirlwind on legs Colin was the calm. I absolutely loved that entire karaoke bit, when you get to it you too will just laugh it up. I really enjoyed getting to see the dynamic between Colin, Liv and Jack. I will say that Jack was a great supporting character and I loved that he was there to support both Liv and Colin.
The brothers best friend trope has always been a favourite of mine and with the added element of the whole wrong number bit made Mr. Wrong Number such a winner for me. You really can’t go wrong with this steamy fun filled romcom.

Things get textual when a steamy message from a random wrong number turns into a thrilling anonymous relationship in this hilarious rom-com by Lynn Painter.
Bad luck has always followed Olivia Marshall…or maybe she’s just the screw-up her family thinks she is. But when a “What are you wearing?” text from a random wrong number turns into the hottest, most entertaining—albeit anonymous—relationship of her life, she thinks things might be on the upswing….
Colin Beck has always considered Olivia his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she moves in with them after one of her worst runs of luck, he realizes she’s turned into an altogether different and sexier distraction. He’s sure he can keep his distance, until the moment he discovers she’s the irresistible Miss Misdial he’s been sort of sexting for weeks—and now he has to decide whether to turn the heat up or ghost her before things get messy.
