Naughty Stranger by Stacey Kennedy: Peyton needs a fresh start after losing her husband. She’s looking forward to starting over in the small town of Stoney Brook without anyone knowing her past and running her own business. She’s smart, loyal, compassionate, and private.

Boone is the sexy and dedicated detective working alongside his two best friends and dad in the local PD. He’s loyal, persistent, and very protective of his family and loved ones. After spending time as first a cop and then a detective on the NYPD, he’s happier back in his hometown. He’s very close to his dad and younger sister, Kingsley.

Peyton is finding herself again after making some great new friends in her new hometown. She’s enjoying life in a small town even if she’s trying to avoid Boone. Their attraction was immediate but she’s hesitant to get involved.

“What the hell are we doing?” she asked, staring at his mouth, and wanting desperately to have more of it. “You’re a stranger.” A naughty stranger.
“I believe you kissed me,” he said in a voice so low goose bumps rose on her arms, and a smile so sexy it should come with a warning label. “And were doing a fine job of it.”

Her quiet life is changed overnight with a shocking murder. Boone immediately steps in, along with his best friends, to investigate. Ensuring Peyton’s safety is necessary to him and also a way to get closer to her. Neither are looking for a relationship, but enjoying something casual is just what both of them need. As the mystery deepens, Boone and Peyton grow closer and their bond deepens. While she appreciates his concern and protectiveness, she’s also strong, independent, and a fighter.

“We’re going to figure this all out.” Boone pressed his lips against her forehead, a comforting touch she desperately needed. “I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
The strength in his voice made her believe him. She snorted a ragged laugh. “I have no plans on letting anything happen to me either.”

Naughty Stranger is exciting, entertaining, and sexy. Stacey Kennedy balanced the developing romance with suspense, mystery, friendship, family, and conflict. Ms. Kennedy created a great cast of characters that I’m looking forward to following in the next book in this series. Fans of J.T. Geissinger and Scarlett Cole will enjoy Naughty Stranger.
