In No More Yesterdays by Catherine Bybee, Before Alexandrea “Alex” Stone took over the helm of her father’s huge corporation upon his death, she was a busy woman in marketing and acquisitions with just enough time to have a social life. But since becoming CEO, men are either intimidated by her or want to ride on her coattails to enjoy her money. Alex has been so busy that she’s not given it much thought. Until she and Stone Enterprises get threatened. The addition of bodyguard Hawk Bronson to her daily life is both annoying and exciting. She’s never felt the kind of attraction or quick camaraderie before that she shares with Hawk. And that’s a bit scary for Alex given how crazy her life is now. But as they work together, following the trail of the bad guys, she realizes that they make a formidable team. And she’s not sure what she will do once Hawk has to move on to his next assignment.
‘She wanted this man, this feeling. Each time their lips met was like a declaration. A branding. *This is mine. I’m claiming it, and no one else can have it*. That’s what Hawk’s touch was telling her.’
Hawk has been content–okay, content adjacent–since taking his job with Private Security Specialists (PSS) and leaving behind most of the bad memories from his past. It might still haunt him at night, but he’s learned to cope with it. Being on this new case watching out for Alex’s safety, though, has brought up some things Hawk thought he’d overcome. All he knows is he must keep her safe at all costs. The world needs Alex’s sunshine in it. And honestly, he can see her bringing light and laughter into his own days and nights too. But as the threats against her become more serious and all the clues start to bring out wrongdoings both at her company and in her deceased father’s dealings, Hawk sees danger up ahead for them. And he’ll be damned if it will cut his and Alex’s lives–or love–short.
“To Aaron Stone. A terrible father, disgusting human, narcissistic, egocentric, womanizing piece of dirt that did one thing right.” Alex stopped looking at the tombstone and glanced between her brothers, her sisters-in-law, and Hawk. “He brought us together. It’s time to look to our future and put our yesterdays behind us.”
A writer who always packs an emotional punch along with big laughs and thrilling moments of suspense in her books, Catherine Bybee most certainly did not disappoint with NO MORE YESTERDAYS. And neither did her kickass hero and heroine, Hawk and Alex.
“I’ll hold you when you’re sad, stand beside you when you’re strong, and carry you when you’re weak. But most important…I will love you, Alexandrea.”

After having read so many of Catherine Bybee’s novels I shouldn’t be surprised by how much I absolutely loved the characters and the plot of NO MORE YESTERDAYS. The third book in the series, this was the story of Alexandrea “Alex” Stone–the new CEO of her deceased father’s successful hotel empire–and Hawk Bronson, her bodyguard and love interest. I truly adored them together. They both had the tendency to be independent (read: stubborn) and they would willingly put themselves in harm’s way when it came to protecting those they love. But, oh the banter and flirting! Sigh… Hawk had so much fun teasing and giving Alex a hard time to bring her out of her protective shell. I had to chuckle each time she gave it right back to him, making him smile and outright laugh. Those were the moments when you could just tell they’d make a terrific couple.
But Alex and Hawk had a lot coming at them, not really allowing them to explore their relationship and feelings until they holed up in Aspen alone together. That’s when it got serious. And it was about the time when the threats against Alex got real. Bybee worked her magic with the twists and turns she wove into their lives, keeping me guessing if I was right in who I thought was the culprit. But as always, there were a few surprises I didn’t see coming.
I think what I appreciated the most was that, yes, this was mainly about Hawk and Alex falling in love and working through past trauma to trust each other and give a real romance a try. But it was also about the Stone siblings: Alex, Chase, and Max, along with their significant others and found family who all worked together to keep Alex safe. They were like a well-oiled machine, each person knowing where to lend their expertise, be a shoulder to lean on, or what step they should try next to uncover the bad guy(s). It really felt like an ensemble cast in the best of ways. And now after meeting Hawk’s colleagues at the private security firm as well as a couple of friends to the Stone family–Julia and Nick–I’m crossing my fingers that some of them might get their own HEA in the near future.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Catherine Bybee lights the fuse, and the Stone siblings must rely on their wits and hearts to uncover a dangerous enemy…and an explosive secret.
Taking over her late father’s company was never part of Alex Stone’s life plan.
But now, sitting in the CEO chair at Stone Enterprises, she’s resigned to living her life alone. Being a high-powered, billionaire woman tends to narrow one’s romantic prospects. As Alex works relentlessly to reshape her inherited hotel empire, she’s acquired a target on her back complete with death threats.
Alex turns to Hawk Bronson, a man who is equal parts bodyguard, sexy, and completely infuriating. Especially when it comes to protecting her.
As the danger escalates, Hawk comes to terms with the fact that their connection goes way beyond bodyguard and assignment. He knows he should keep his distance—his own dark past and nightmares put her at greater risk—but he can’t walk away. Protecting Alex means everything. Putting her life in someone else’s care isn’t an option once he’s tasted their passion and depth of his feelings.
As they navigate a minefield of family secrets, past pain, and unexpected hope, Alex and Hawk must face their deepest fears and fight for a future together. But first, they’ll need to unmask whoever is behind the threats—before Alex becomes their next victim.
